Just wait until you have a problem - you will change your mind very quickly - read my posts on here
I agree with you. I think I've just been lucky so far. I was going to leave when they had a good offer on BT but when i read the forums, they all seemed to be as bad as each other so I decided to stay with TT ..0 -
My brother in law has Talk Talk and said it is OK on the basic BB package which is what he has, BUT he said it drops out regularly and he has to unplug the router and plug it back in after about 30 seconds.
Is this common? If so it would drive me nuts, or is this just limited to certain areas ?0 -
Please use Telcan call by calling card at very cheap price.0

I used to have TT business broadband but only because they bought out my original supplier. Once TT took over i had nothing but problems. Speed dropped, constant DNS issues and total connection failures several times a day. This went on for over a year with TT sales phoning me up almost weekly promising me that if i took out a new contract with them my problems would stop. I put up with it as i was out of minimum term and couldnt find any deals better at that time. In the end i had enough, requested my MAC and ported to BT. TT continued to bill me. When confronted they just lied, then covered it with more lies. They first insisted i was still with TT (Nope, my router settings show i was with BT and its NOT possible to have 2 broadbands on one line). Thwn they saidf i never requested a MAC (so i sent them copies of the email they sent me with my MAC). They they said BT never used the MAC. This is not technically possible since i was connected at the exchange the old way and without a MAC it would have been impossible to simply migrate the service. I just cancelled the DD in the end nd so far i have not heard anything from them. They are total thieving, lieing scum. Dont use them0

Hi sooksook,
See my post just below yours titled `Lack of response from service centre`. I`m appalled at the lack of response to both e-mail and letter requests for answers from TalkTalk/Onetel. They also dragged their feet in providing a MAC key for my transfer to Plusnet.
I agree with other replies in that it`s a personal matter but, so far, Plusnet have been excellent on the customer service side as far as I`m concerned.

Yes there customer service is rubbish. But that's on par with many outsourced CS depts. Use the forums and things get sorted much quicker
I think it all depends on where you live. My exchange is all BT resellers. The only LLU is talk talk and they are the only company who can get me speeds of over 1.5 mbps. I can't get fibre or FTC as BT in their wisdom have taken me off the box less then a mile away and put me on one nearly 5 miles away
So for me speed and cost keep me with TT, both of which I'm happy with0
