Food cupboards all cleared out and sorted. I now have an inventory taped to the inside of the door
Went to put some glasses away in another cupboard and they didn't slide in like they normally do. Quick look and I discovered the shelf they were on (above eye level) was full of black mould  Thats been cleaned up, and I'm having to chuck our two travel mugs out as they're disgusting and the seals are black with mould  I'll be buying some new ones so that DD can take a hot drink to school with her in the cold weather and I can have one when I start my walking again
Washing up is almost cleared, but some raw chicken has been cooked onto a knife and chopping board when its been put in the bowl to soak and its proving a begger to get off
Going to have a mooch at whats in the freezer now. I know I have loads of veg, but I need to sort out what else is lurking in there and make a list. I buy stuff with the intention of trying a new recipe and then never get around to it.Going to try and clear it out this month of all those random bits.
Need to do the same with the fridge and then see if I can get a Mr A delivery sorted for tomorrow. DD is lacking packed lunch stuff other than biscuits

nicki, I find that the meals I fudge together from the freezer/store cupboards are almost always delicious and make me step outside my foodie comfort zone, which is never a bad thing! I hope you enjoy destashing your kitchen too.
I have dropped off DD, collected the boys and done the ironing and put it straight away. Decluttering a cider or two to cap off a great weekend all round.
Feeling very blessed with my lovely family and my darling DH. Makes you sick, eh?! :rotfl:0 -

Twinks are next on my evening list. Currently have Beef Rib Trim casseroling so waiting for that to finish. Just finished scallops with ginger, chilli and lime (supposed to have these as anniversary dinner with steak last night but we are both feeling so yucky we really didn't feel like celebrating.) Made quesadillas for DH lunch tomorrow with leftover wraps from last night's fajitas. About to head off for a bath then S&S kitchen to start the week sort of organised.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

Didn't see this on the original lists but it's not something we really do every day. After a near disaster last night could I just ask everyone to check their leads/plugs please? More often than not we wind the lead round the item (hairdryers, straighteners, iron etc) or its handle (vacuum cleaner, lawn mower and so on) and tend to wind it the same way every time without thinking. I did this with my nebuliser plug, the wires broke and it had smoke and sparks flying out of it. It was in a gang with other plugs so would have caused a house fire had I not smelled then seen it and managed to throw it outside. In future I'll always leave some slack before winding and try to remember to wind in a different direction each time.
Other than doing all the above checking, all I've done is ironed the clothes I wore today0 -

Been to Matalan to buy clothes for DS. For Uni. Spent exactly £100. Cannot make use of student discount as he hasn't got an NUS card yet. That would have been a £10 saving.:(
However I will be taking them ALL back if they aren't put away soon...:rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Evening all,
Been a bit MIA this weekend, out and about, but did manage to get some productive things done. More clearing out, decorating and packing to do next week.
Hope you've all had a good weekend. See you on next week's thread.
