Flying today will largely consist of wet washing jenga, the prodigal daughter has returned from her holiday! Chicken roasted for dinner, but I need to do another airport run this afternoon to pick up the aunt and uncle in law, not sure when mind you as their flight is delayed! Might just pack my case, since they are currently empty and lying on the bedroom floor!RIP Iain

Hedge cut and all cleared up
Logs ready for use moved to the wood store
All new logs moved to the back garden
Dead branch cut off tree so I can open compost bin more easily
Fireplace emptied and granite polished
Picture back up - moving one, DH just needs to pop a nail up
Sofa collected
Shirts all washed
WM2 done but on the maiden as rain has come in
Just had lunch and a cuppa. Rain looks like it is passing over so I hope to get a few more bits done in the garden.
Family have all been made to help (except for DS1 who was at work but back now so I think can tidy his pit!)The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
My old car has been collected and is off to its new home in Southend on Sea. Kinda sad to see it go as it has served me very well over the past three years (especially considering I haven't looked after it at all) but I wont miss the fear of something going wrong and I am loving my new motor -- so much so I have vowed not to smoke in it
Quiet day chez Whizz today. Will make a freezer lunch for the 5 of us shortly and hopefully turn the heel on my sock while watching the BTCC later. Dropping DD off and collecting DS1 and DS2 around 4, then it will be the Sunday night bags, bath and bed ritual.
Booger, just remembered the boys beds are stripped and linen needs ironing and remade before I pick them up. I guess the heel will have to wait until later0 -
What type of drumming do you do Boddy? My daughters do military drumming, that's where we've been all morning.
DD2 and her friend are supposed to be doing homework downstairs. I've had to shut the dog in the kitchen out of the way. Can't let her outside as there is huge fox sleeping in the garden
I was going to finish off my room but one of the cats is asleep on my bed, my room's only small, just a dyson wide path between the bed and the furniture so couldn't do much without disturbing her. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to itso I'm going to read and maybe do some of my knitting instead
I promise if the cat moves I'll tidy :A0 -
Hey
Been back home a couple of hours. WM fed, bags sorted for morning, dipped outside (wild here) and took BBQ cover off as it was flapping around. Made my bed, straightened the kids beds and have been around putting things away. Kitchen S&S and DW on. I've had some leftovers for lunch, and now snuggled on the sofa until the tots get home.
I've sure had some "me time" this weekendBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Wendy witch It is Samba drumming. I have a snare drum.

Cat bedding washed
Sunday is usually catch up day for me. I'm out most of the week.0 -
Whew. Right I have sorted and folded all the washing. DH has been out to get the bits of door frame which needed doing and is currently doing that. I hope he's going to get some more undercoating done too.
For now I am off to do HHI at 14:00. Have done the dishes while waiting for the kettle to boil and wiped down the work tops and the DR table.
when I opened the front room blinds this morning and found I have a bloody pigeon wing in my garden and clumps of feathers dotted about the garden, I had a look for the pigeon but it was no where to be seen.
I am going to finish my cuppa and then prep veg, it has been raining all morning but the sun has just this minute come out, when we lived in Gateshead we used to watch GRN too, like from the end of our road not the telly lol.0 -
I've decided to sort through the food stores. OMG some of the stuff is nearly 12 months out of date! Loads of stuff I bought when I was doing SW 2 years or so ago are way out of date & still sealed. Making a note not to bother buying that stuff again
Things I do need to replace as we do use them, I'm buying smaller quantities of. I'm dreading doing the freezer.
:o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Finished the ironing. All put away. Now to clear the carp from the sofa so that I can put the covers back on. Then I can get the throws back on for the winter.
DD wants to cover a school book with sticky back plastic. She actually cracked a smile when I told her to wait as it's a 52 man job. Like cling filming a cat!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0
