    Morning.
Had a quick tidy at about 4 this morning. Don't know why I would be more motivated at that time to pick up things from the floor.
Feeding bubba then hoping for one more hour sleep.
    Have a good day.

Well it looks like it's going to be a grim day here as well but not much planned so might as well spend the day making the house all scrumptiously clean and tidy for the week ahead.

    Here's my list for today

    Clean bathrooms
    Hoover entire house
    Wipe out fridge
    Grocery shopping
    Preperation for work tomorrow.

And some cups of coffee thrown in throughout the day to keep me going :rotfl:

Snoozed on the sofa then went to bed early, feel like I've had too much sleep now but once the headache lifts should be fine.

Old sofa being collected today and it is dry atm so a chance of getting the hedge cut if a man or boy gets up anytime soon (they may be encouraged ina bit)

Mumto5 Great new on DS1 - now to buy the kit which is a fair bit!

    Morning!
Am at my aunts, had a sleepover lol. I'm the only one up. Just made a cuppa. Sharing an airbed with my 17yr old cousin lol its roasting so I'm sitting on the sofa now...

Feel a bit fuzzy from too much Bacardi oops.

Hopefully it will pass, want to get lots done when I get home.

Allegedly gales here today but its so far still. Bit murky though.

CY I don't have the menu yet, but DS is a bit poor with his memory. He tells granny he didn't have breakfast until he's reminded :rotfl: I think we can the menu online when they give us the codes to pay for dinners...

  • Morning all, raining here and it gives it all day. So no more washing on the line. Plan today is to get the bathroom done, wash all bedding, iron school clothes and sort bags. Then i'm sorting our budget out, christmas/birthday lists, have a nosey at the debts and see what can be done plus meal plan. Time to tighten the purse strings again. :(

Best get the kids ready and away to sunday school.

...Before, I think I would have just kept going at it all day, trying to make it perfect ( and failing) whereas this week, I just did what I could and I feel great and the house is acceptable.
Life is too short to spend what little spare time i have cleaning. But also, I don't want to live in a grotty house. I want this to be a place that I love to come home to and where family and friends are always welcome and I don't feel the need to keep apologising for the state of the place. We are very blessed and I need to appreciate what we have - family, friends, a roof over our heads etc.
Couldn't have put it better myself! Welcome rach :hello:

    This morning I have
    - made a nice cup of tea
    - sorted out the next load of washing: sadly, heavy rain is forecast here too, so I shall have to use the TD or drape stuff round the bathroom when I've finished painting
    - discovered that we have a leak around the extractor fan vent through the flat roof, which is above the newly plastered and painted porch ceiling: it has almost certainly soaked all the insulation
    - sorted DGD1's birthday presents, which will involve a trip to 1ke@ before 24th (that will be Monday 23rd, then - too busy to go this week :D)
    - changed a mini-halogen light bulb which has lasted just 2 weeks
    - cleaned the brass standard lamp which the plasterer had spattered
    - looked at the bedrooms and decided that I shall simply have to wipe round and vacuum them today or I shan't be able to find anything under the ever-increasing covering of dust - at least it's just light dust now and not that horrible gritty plaster dust that we had before :o

    So today's list includes
    - ring the plumber (I might be kind and leave that until first thing tomorrow)
    - WMx1, TDx2
    - collect levelling compound from DS1
    - finish tidying spare bedroom (= study)
    - sand down filler on walls of under-stairs cupboard and touch up if necessary
    - dust and vacuum both bedrooms and landing (NB after sanding down!)
    - finish painting bathroom walls (or at least the bits behind where the towel rails are going)
    - HHP = sorting piles of papers and filling in forms
    - continue preparations for AGM, now urgent as it's for next Saturday

DH has just called out that breakfast is on the table :) - see you later!
