Red sheets sound a bit saucy. Make them flannelette and I'm not so sure?! :rotfl:
My silky ones are just a bit freezing in winter.. and red hides stains.. and matches my d!cor.
Thanks pigpen off for a looksie x

I used to have a black and red satin bed set, it was slippery and we spent half the night fighting the duvet from sliding off the end of the bed. Happy days.
But as the Arctic Monkeys so eloquently put it, "You used to get it in your fishnets, now you only get it in your nightdress".
Two weeks and one day married, that's quite a sad confession0 -
Glad to hear about Poppy doing okay.
I've cleared the laundry pile, ALL loads went through the TD as well for speed. I have finally cleared the ironing pile, there was a backlog from about 3 weeks ago, and its taken me all day as my back and legs started aching so I had to take regular breaks.Tomorrow there will be 2 loads started as beds will be stripped and baths had, but they can wait until later in the week so there will be full loads
Tomorrow DD and I will be sorting through her small summer wardrobe and putting things away in storage bags for the winter. She probably has double the amount of clothes I have and thats excluding uniform  Then I'm going to do some juggling of storage boxes in the cupboard of doom while she does her homework. Ex reminded her today that just because she is at school doesn't mean she gets out of doing her chores. So she did a batch of dishes. There's still plenty to be done so I'll do them tomorrow morning as most are soaking now.
I'm off to watch a tutorial or two online while I finish my drink, then I'll be off to bed. Catch you all tomorrow :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Ooh flannelette sheets I didn't know you can still get those! When I was a student (aargh 30+ years ago!) my room was so cold I sewed 2 sheets together to make a duvet cover it was loooovely.
Wanders off to look at Amazon though I still disapprove of them

Well this is the end of my first week flying. Not sure how well I followed the plan, but after today's flying with the help of 3 of our kids, we have managed to clean and tidy every room except mine and DH bedroom and the log cabin! I think that is pretty good going. The 4 of us spent a couple of hours this morning working through a list of jobs and what was a disaster zone, is actually acceptable!
Thank you so much for all your inspiration and determination to keep on top of things at home without it being the sole focus of my life!
Today I have managed to get on top of the house without needing it to be perfect, taken 2 kids out into town for a couple of hours for some things they needed for school and then had a lovely evening out with kids and friends. Before, I think I would have just kept going at it all day, trying to make it perfect ( and failing) whereas this week, I just did what I could and I feel great and the house is acceptable.
Life is too short to spend what little spare time i have cleaning. But also, I don't want to live in a grotty house. I want this to be a place that I love to come home to and where family and friends are always welcome and I don't feel the need to keep apologising for the state of the place. We are very blessed and I need to appreciate what we have - family, friends, a roof over our heads etc.
Pep talk to self over. Goodnight all xLiving the dream, one moment at a time. It's not always easy but there are sparkles of joy around every corner.:j

Didn't have time for much today, just time to take the dog out, nip to the shops for some essentials and get the dishes done. Then I had to shoot to work.
At work all day again tomorrow, all the house is spotless now thanks to the lists this weekso I can just relax when I get home.
Was quite a Friday 13th. Friend sat on her straighteners and burned her backside.
I had quite a good Fri 13th, got my laptop fixed, and caught the postie when I was walking back to the house after popping to shops. He handed me my missed parcel

Top feeders - like danios,
Middle feeders - My Red tailed shark and siamese fighting fish were my faves. The fighting fish had a lovely tail, but the other fish tend to bite at them.
Bottom feeders - those cute sucky fish that eat all the algae in the tank, great for helping keep the tank clean. I used to have a rope fish too, like a mini eel in the tank.
You're only supposed to get so many fish per size of tank (not sure what the ratio is) but if you spread them out like this the tank looks a lot fuller.
Hope this helps.
Welcome rach pach
