Morning all,
No rain here yet but it looks like its on its way:( there is a chill in the air and I may even consider putting the heating on for an hour or so just to warm the place up a little.
Stew all done, bubbling in the slow cooker, I do love stew and dumplings:D
DS at football, girls still in their pits, dog walked, cuppa made.
Not planning on much else today, need to take DD1 for a new duvet, as her new digs at uni have double beds, and we only have spare single duvets. She goes back on Saturday, and although I will be sad to see her go, on the plus side she will be taking all her stuff back:jIt is at present in various piles around the house.
Have a good Sunday everyone
See you soon x0 -
Hey all, I'm sorry I wasn't around yesterday. I woke up at 4am with the worst toothache I've ever had in my life... So painful I actually cried. I had to go an emergency dentist and then work seven hours with a swollen face and dribbling like a toddler... :rotfl: that's actually offensive to toddlers, they are far cuter that the state I was in!
I have to make my soup which I didn't get round to yesterday obviously and also want to try some chocolatey self-saucing pudding!
I will do the stars with a cuppa later
So this is your last chance and Final push for this weeks stars!
HHC now if you want to join in.... XxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Snap nicki, I got up at 10.10 after tossing and turning until about 3am. Have been into DD's bedroom and the little baggage has filled the bottom of her wardrobe with pj's. am going to throttle her.
DH said DS has done the same so now I am going upstairs with my post it notes to label where stuff needs to go.
I will then be going through the clothes in my lounge. It's not pretty. You can't actually see the floor. That will see me through until about 3pm.
The kitchen is clean and tidy though because I did that whilst waiting for my toast.

Mine are well and truly hammered.. carpet fitting, cleaning with all manner of stuff (they hate elbow grease) wallpapering, furniture building, falling on my face, constant hand washing... usually I have 1 which needs replacing each week but rarely the same one. Most of mine are my own nails with an acrylic coating.. £5 a week for replacements and polish (cheaper than a couple of beers or a bottle of wine)
They take a bit to get used to, a couple of weeks and then you adapt.. the only thing I struggle with is picking up coins off a smooth floor lol..
Cracked right on with my knitting last night.. up to the owls now..I need to hide it from DD1 when she comes round later.

So hhc got carried away, but so far have done the following:
Slow cooker full of soup
Food processor now has a permanent home on the work top(so fed up of doing things by hand and then thinking, why didn't I just use the chopper?!)
Chocolate cake ingredients looked out for this afternoon
Surfaces and cupboards all wiped down - kitchen looks good
Family fed and dressed
Grill and oven wiped out
Hob cleaned
Dishes washed
WM filled, washed, emptied and refilled
Dining table needs a new cloth on it despite only doing this the other day.. Also need to clean one of the dining chairs after my 3year old nephew had co pops for breakfast
I forget how much harder everything is with a three year old wrecking machine in tow :rotfl: but I also forget how much more fun, loveable and cuddly they are... My 11yo DS is going through a very grumpy stage and it isn't always fun... Nephew even makes him forget himself sometimes lolSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Huge congratulations to newly qualified referees and their mothers, Mumto5.
Ionafan I think what you're going through is the worst of the worst of the worst of having the builders in. Having to fix the bits that have gone wrong and the resultant newly created problems .... They always come to light just as the end is in sight. *aaaggghhhhh*
Welcome newbies. I didn't realise that when doing a Dot to Dot that I should be actually sorting out the extracted gibble as I went along.I've just been piling it up to deal with later. *thinks* I might take things a bit more slowly and do it properly in future.
So much for my dealing with stuff while OH was out yesterday. I'm not sure what caused it, but I felt so weird I had to take the day off.
Talking of DSs and DDs going to Uni, we've just had a new accommodation block built on the Hoe. There is absolutely no car parking to go with it at all. None. Nada. Nothing. Zip. Plymouth City Council is going to do very nicely indeed from the income from the poor parents who were decanting 400 students and their stuff into it. Traffic wardens spent the whole day wandering up and down Notte Street issuing tickets like confetti to the hundreds of cars double parked on the pavements, up side streets and anywhere else they could put them. It must have made a sad and difficult day for some people unbearable. The irony is there are plenty of city centre car parking spaces within walking distance at churches, the courts etc etc that were probably locked out of use - because it was Saturday. I imagine the other 200 students are moving in today and the exercise will be repeated.Better is good enough.0 -
Well sitting here reading the forums isn't going to get anything done. I'm off to tackle the kitchen, get this chicken in to cook and give DD a kick into moving herself. She is supposed to be making her bed but its a little too quiet.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
