I've decided to sort through the food stores. OMG some of the stuff is nearly 12 months out of date! Loads of stuff I bought when I was doing SW 2 years or so ago are way out of date & still sealed. Making a note not to bother buying that stuff again
Things I do need to replace as we do use them, I'm buying smaller quantities of. I'm dreading doing the freezer.
:o
If the stuff is in packets, you'll be fine even if the best before date was ages ago.0 -

Some things are okay to keep a bit longer and I'll keep them another 6 months then reassess. But the chocolate has had to be chucked, it was furry  I think my cabinets are suffering from damp again so I'm putting new moisture traps in them. Hopefully that'll extend the life of the food in there.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Agreed; it might not be in its ideal state but it won't do you any harm. I'm still plodding through a bag of red lentils which are labelled BB May 2009!
Beds ironed and remade. WMx2 done and hung in the airer, yesterday's load waiting to be ironed when I get back with the boys. I've had a lovely weekend with DD0 -
Have done loads of washing and plenty of ironing.
Have also found DD2's certificates which she has to take to work this week:A:A.
DH is really struggling to use his injured arm - hope the hospital contact his soon...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
A few hours in the boys's room survived. I have located the awful smell at last or so I hope. I found a pair of unwashed football socks amongst his clean underwear. Even OH who has no sense of smell could smell them. I also found a stinky shirt from the last day of year 11 ( the one with signatures on it) I told him that if he wanted to keep it it had to be washed and it walked to the WM alone. I also discovered a pair of old pe trainers which sadly are now in the black bin.
1 bag for charity and 1 spied for later in the week when no one is looking.
Family walk taken
OH hair cut
Mother telephoned
Now a quick bath/ hair wash then time to cook dinner I think. Time flies and all that x0 -
Hey all,
Hope your having a lovely Sunday. DS spent most of this morning stropping after not wanting to share toys with a 3 yo! (He's 11!) So he has been banished to his room and I am evil...
This has left me to get on with flying and generally ignoring him.
Soup decanted, some consumed for lunch and rest portioned into pots for freezer
More ironing done
Clothes sorted and put away in my room
Bed made and finally hoovered my room! Yay! :j
Chocolate cake now in the oven
Then I think I'll cook macaroni cheese for teadon't know why, just right in the mood for it

Mmm, macaroni cheese *dribble*. DH is now cooking roast pork. I am catching up with Grand Designs. I will Hoover my bedroom later and quickly whip around the kids rooms as we've all walked sawdust and what not into the door ways. I will then strip our bed and remake it. I have already got the bedding out.
Although it's recorded, I won't ff through the adverts, I'll take the last ironed bits up during the first.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Miserable day here, have taken the first walk with the baby and push chair today up the road for some essentials. One washing in and out, washing up done and shopping put away. Going to find some more washing while DD2 sleeps.0

Kids are watching songs of praise. DD said "mum can you go away cos I want to sit there" :rotfl:
So I'm relegated to the other sofa
They are fed, I'm so tired I could cry lol. Self inflictedI think I might go have a shower and get ready for bed myself soon. Maybe I'll get them to choose a DVD - they both look like an early night wouldn't be unwelcome!
DS needs to put his train track away first though - and now he's crying at the suggestion of it  oh dear we really are all a bit past ourselves.
I'll get them upstairs and pj'd then some milk for them and a cuppa for me I think. Bless 'em.Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
