I have a wooden Venetian blind in my bathroom. It collects much less grunge than the metal ones and looks fine with an occasional Hoover and damp dust.
Healing vibes for baby Poppy, CY's DH and Mum and Piggers walking.
I have washed my sofa covers. They are still not clean :(. I never seem to be able to get anything properly clean despite having a stain remover and adding shed loads of soda crystals to the machine. I don't think soaking would help either. Am still very tempted to try the coffee dyeing on them.

Am pretty sure we're going to swap kids bedrooms over. Think it will be best for all concerned, stops me shouting at DD every day and she wanted to swap rooms just after we had decorated DS's room last time. We said no because we'd only just finished it.
DH is not happy as he said we would have to redecorate the rooms but they need doing anyway as it's 3 years since they've been done and the paint is marked to heck.

How often do you guys redecorate?

    Hello!

We did a bit better at school drop off today :T I just kept whispering "big smiles and fruit pastilles" in his ear as we decided that's what makes him brave :rotfl: he had a minor wobble and clung on, with the start of some tears, so he had a kiss and a cuddle, and one more whisper then he sniffled "I want to wave through the window" so I took the opportunity, he got a "well done, you go over there and we'll go round and blow kisses" oh bless him, he was trying so hard to give me his big smile.

I'm definitely taking fruit pastilles when we go collect him :A

DD and I went up to town. Wilco had their own version of Lego reduced, so I got him 4 mini boxes for less than £3 :T stashed away as stocking fillers. I've also made a start on the Halloween party bags. We are going to Center Parcs with a huge group and I've volunteered to do party bags for the preschool meet (40 kiddies ). I'm trying to keep the costs down (its a charity so I won't ask for a contribution) so I got some tubs of mini gel pens (18 for £1.29) and mini felt pens (loads for 89p), 4 trays of 10 mini choc dips, 99p per tray, some moam sweets for £1.30, Halloween balloons and these spooky glow stick things.

Oh, and from b&m I found a wipe clean table cloth - a word search one you can write on, lol.

Took DD in a cafe for a tea cake while I had a cuppa, and she's just taken herself off to bed! Doh. I'll have to wake her soon to go get DS! I have sorted his cupboard though. Summer stuff away (what might fit next year) and the too small stuff on the charity pile. Two neat boxes in the top of the cupboard, and he has more hanging room now.

Both the kids cupboards are done for the season change now, just need to do mine...

It depends on traffic. DD room needs doing, but I'm waiting till next year when she will be ok in a bigger bed. Hers hasn't been painted since before DS was born - probably 5 yrs  it really is shabby looking. It was his nursery, then we did him a Thomas bedroom before DD arrived so maybe 3.5yrs ago (don't think we painted, though, room was already blue so just had stickarounds and curtains etc). I just did his earlier this year (spiderman!). She wants a princess bedroom :o

We decorated the main bedroom when we moved in 6yrs ago, then I did it again last summer.

Looks like ours is about every 5 years, oh dear, that's not good.

  • Hey Toots I've had to read for half an hour to get through all the posts. You've brought all the oldies back and it's sooo lovely to see you all. I've missed you xxxx

Flying here has been limited. I have been and had my nails done today (walked there and back myself as part of my challenge ).
DS1 has just hit me with a huge bag of washing he needs for tomorrow as he's off back to Ireland again. Which means he won't be going to the wedding with us tomorrow. I thought we were going to get a day together all together but not to be. Need to go for a sunbed later and I have the hairdressers tomorrow afternoon.

Piggers huge healing vibes and prayers for the little one and huge cuddles for mum xxx
