I don't understand why jjb was forced to shut down while sports direct is flourishing. They sell the same old Crap, sports wear which is actually used for formal, casual and evening wear by its punters0

I think JJB had money problems, falling sales due to competition frm SD.0 -
Sports Direct always have closing down sales but never do. I used to work at one for 2 years. It was always "closing down".Hi. They are closing down...
...in about 20500 -
The one in my town has been closing down since 2010...... it's still open!0

The one in my town also has them signs up all the time, but I also caught a small print type sign saying that no the store is not actually closing down. Forget what it said exactly but that was the point of the message.0

I don't know why they bother, I went in the 'closing' Hanley branch on saturday and couldn't find a single thing which was anything other than the standard 'discount'.
So when they say 'everything must go' they mean 'we want to get rid of our stock but not offer you any incentive to buy it'Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0 -
They've just taken over PULP stores so definately not shutting down0
-
They have a closing down sale about 2 or 3 times a year. They never actually do close, just do a stock clearance sale. Why they can't just put that I'll never know, but they are shysters.0

So probably the next thing will be a "stock liquidation" sale when they shift the usual stuff at the regular prices :rotfl:
Remember it's upto 70% off, good luck finding something which is marked 70% off, and isn't based on a 'reference' price you could never buy it at0
