Do you let your cats go on your bed?

Our Cats let us share the bed too........ we consider ourselves very fortunate. Mrs Happy0

Our cat shares our bed, only problem is at the moment although we have a super king size bed there doesn't seem to be enough room in it for DH. I'm 8 months pregnant with a huge bump, have a 4ft body pillow that takes a good portion of the bed and the cat who lays across the bed which leaves very little room for DH apparently.
Our cat (more DH than me) will always come to bed when we go, sit/lie/snuggle on the bed for a bit next to DH before getting down. She then gets back on the bed in the middle of the night and usually wrestles one of DH pillows off him, or if that doesn't work has realised she quite likes my bump and sits on there purring loud enough to wake me for a cuddle.
I have ended up kissing furry tail a few times when I've leant over to kiss DH half asleep and got a mouthful of fur because it was her lying next to me not DH.0 -
Our cat just goes where she wants. She doesn't seem to be as attached to me or anyone in the house as I would like her to be.
We leave the bedroom door open for her cos there's nowhere else for her to sleep in the house if we don't. The dog takes over the kitchen (her bed is in the corner and we feel the cat should always be able to get away from the dog if she is being annoyed too much).
Sometimes shes sleeping on the bed when we go to bed, sometimes she's not. I don't go looking for her and if she happens to come in during the night, she sleeps on the hot pipe on the landing (although she has worked out how to get in the bedroom window now).
If she's in a particularly annoying mood, she will howl at the door, so one of us just gets up and lets her in and then she usually spends an hour trying to wake us up to feed her, but gives up when she is continually kicked off the bed!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Well ours do pretty much as they want. We have 7, one nearly always sleeps in DH's arms. She is like a living teddy bear. Currently as i type this I have one in the 3, tier cat platform thing asleep. One on sofa one asleep one on sofa two asleep. Upstairs on the bed we have two of the boys on our bed asleep. One on the sofa in the study asleep. One is spraweled out in hte front garden under the window. Asleep.Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

My 2 cats sleep on the bed with me (although not when my fella is there as he is allergic!!)
They are not allowed on worktops table tops etc. But they are allowed on the beds.
I love cuddling up with my cats in bed, dunno why just dead relaxing - but then i am such a cat person!Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -
My two cats go anywhere they want to, they love the bed! however i don't let them sleep with us much as they keep me awake...Poppy climbs on me, and sits there looking at me and then meows as if to say' oi! stroke me then!' drives me a bit mad lol, Marmalade climbs on the bed and walks on my pillow above mine and my hubbys head which annoys him!
They have to be supervised in the living room though, as we have a hamster....of course they love watching her!

My little monkey is allowed anywhere he wants to go - I have a throw to put on the sofa ! Unfortunately he does jump on work surfaces and doesn/t seem to understand that he shouldn/t

Just recently renovated my house and I think he thinks I did the spare room just for him..as he has adopted this room as his own :j :j :j - hes very spoilt but I wouldn/t be without him !

my cat always sleeps on the end of my bed, as soon as the tv is turned off for the night she makes her way upstairs. She has her own fleecy blanket which she always sleeps on, always in the same place, sure are creatures of habit i guess.SkintMonkey wrote: »Or just in your bedroom generally? We are going to have to keep our cats in (who we recently homed from rescue centre) as they need to begin their jabs again - the first lot expired as they had to wait til one of the cats tummy settled after problems and so we need to begin again - arrrggh!
So far we've kept them to the lounge and the kitchen, but tonight we are going to reveal the rest of the house to them! They really need to have more space and exercise so I'm hoping the stairs and extra rooms will satisfy until we can let them out into the garden.
Anyway, do you let your cats have free reign and go anywhere/everywhere - including your bedroom?0 -
Ted (my cat) sits downstairs with us all evening & when we get up & turn things off he just accompanies us upstairs to bed.
He sleeps in the room all night & gets up with us in the morning:D0 -

lol mine too, she seems to want people around her, when we get in from work she runs to us making gutteral happy noises and purring, so i reckon she gets much comfort from sharing my bed, she makes me laugh though if im reading for long periods and she wants her shut eye, she then sits up and stares at me until i put the book down and turn out the light. whoever said they own a cat eh????/:rotfl: 0
