Do you let your cats go on your bed?

Or just in your bedroom generally? We are going to have to keep our cats in (who we recently homed from rescue centre) as they need to begin their jabs again - the first lot expired as they had to wait til one of the cats tummy settled after problems and so we need to begin again - arrrggh!
So far we've kept them to the lounge and the kitchen, but tonight we are going to reveal the rest of the house to them! They really need to have more space and exercise so I'm hoping the stairs and extra rooms will satisfy until we can let them out into the garden.
Anyway, do you let your cats have free reign and go anywhere/everywhere - including your bedroom?

our cats are banned from the living room as the hair is unbearable. They have free reign of the rest of the house including the bedrooms, we put a throw over the bed to keep their hair off the bed clothes and pillows. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0

forgot to say they get kicked out of the bedroom at night. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0

my moggy goes where she likes!
(other than the worktop counters but she doesn't like it up there anyway (luckily for me!) ) nothing to see here, move along...0 -
My 3 cats can go anywhere and they usually end up on a bed somewhere. I like to have a cat on my bed at night:rotfl:Offical MSE Fantasy League Member:beer:0

Can't keep our cat out of the bedroom at night. If we have the window open he comes in through it (we live in a bungalow) if we close the window he digs the carpet up inn the hall trying to get in, and howls till we open the door.
Funnily enough we've just had new wardrobes installed and he has taken exception to them, so now he is sleeping in the hall anyway!!
We have a cat bed/rug in every room, mostly by the radiator, so he doesn't tend to go on the furniture.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Our cats have free reign of the house. Our bed has a throw on it for the cats to sleep on as I got fed up of their fur on the bedding. Looks like I'll have to get one for each of the kids beds as Mew seem to like to have a different bed every few months. Fluffy likes to sleep on our dining room table(we don't like it) but we just can't deter her, I will probably ban the cats from the new dining room when the extension is finished.0

My cat comes and goes as she pleases. I turf her out of the bedroom at night and she sleeps in the laundry basket or bathroom sink instead (except now she's discovered a long planter with white alpine strawberry plants in the garden so smothers them full-length instead).0

I used to when I lived alone, then when moved in with DH cat was allowed on my bed but not DH's room.
When we got new cats they weren't allowed upstairs as they had real problems with housetraining and urine soaked bed linen was not fun!DEBT: £500 credit card £800 Bank overdraft

Our cat has a free reign, and like others have stated, we too have a throw on the beds to keep the cat hairs off.
I say 'the beds' as we have a guest room with a single bed in which she has now claimed her own - fortunatley we don't have many guests
