Cyclists still not getting the message

It's already been suggested you should have asked the individual concerned. But you didn't so unless they are a member we can only guess why they did it.

I would rather it was regarded as a debate. And lets not pretend that my incident was an isolated incident thus making me ask the individual concerned. Most of us will know that there are too many cyclists who ride at night without lights so the question I was asking was a general one.

Whats to debate
they should have a light
however they had a front light,so you have no idea why no rear light was showing
never seen a car with a rear light out?
did you post on the forum?

if i did get pulled over, i would have hoped they would be reasonable about it. Afterall, they dont arrest drivers for every little thing they do.

or maybe i should have jsut been thrown into jail because i was a victim of theft, would that make you happier?

Right...So, to try and make this a useful thread...What do *you* think should be done about it?

Or do you really think that a couple of articles about light-less cyclists being killed will do the trick?
