Cyclists still not getting the message

^^
So you haven't heard of incidents like this then?

So what about drivers not getting the message on drink/drug driving, speeding etc
Shall I post links to those on the cycling board?0 -
No but a cyclist dosn't have a drivers seat? Well none that I have seen anyway. When I used to ride a bike (many moons ago), I could tell if my rear light was working or not. First of all I used to check it before moving off then I would periodically glance to see the light was on.
Not rocket science is it?
I had one of my rear LEDs fail on me this week
There's no way I can see it whilst on the bike and I'm unlikely to stop for the 20 or 30 miles of the ride
It wasn't dark, it was very early in the morning but I tend to use them anyway as there are far too many drowsy drivers around at that time, too busy drinking coffee to pay attention0 -

also, people dont tend to notice things unless it directly affects them
i usually cycle to work, and i rarely, if ever, notice people cycling on the pavement. I do notice quite a few cyclists on the road however.
however, on occasion i've walked to work, and its been the complete opposite. Not noticed many cyclists on the road, but noticed them on the pavements.0 -

Yes, I've heard of plenty of cases like that. Because I read the news very often and I'm quite a keen cyclist.
Many casual cyclists however (and let's face it, "proper" cyclists are normally lit up) won't hear much about things like tha, no...they scarcely make headlines...so they certainly won't view it as a reason to light up.
If you want people to "get the message", you have to try and give them that message...Which we, as a country, are simply not doing in any way.0 -
My motorbike is permanently lit up with 2 big bright headlamps up front, amazing how many driver apparently don't see them either.0

C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!0 -
Why would I?
thats the point
why are you not posting about them?
Because unlike motorists, the police don't seem to be clamping down on cyclists so it seems they need to 'police' themselves.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0
