How does hanging around a school show intent? Someone could hang around a school for a variety of reasons.

Name a few reasons why you would want a pair of worn smelly girls shoes?

Cant see the knee jerk reaction myself. I would say I have a weird/warped sense of humor - however this request is a little bit sick in my opinion.

The link you posted has no relevance to this thread.
It shows intent because they may be trying to aquaint themselves with children.
The main reason anyone wants any smelly pair of shoes is because they are most probably a pervert. But as i keep poining out that in itself is not a crime or illegal.
Again you seem to be implying because i dont see it as illegal then i must in your opinion be saying its ok?
For the record for the third time i think its disgusting , sick and not on but just because thats what i think does not make it illegal.
As for the link it just shows the emotive lengths people go to with a knee jerk reaction which does seem to be happening .

"may be" trying to aquatint themselves with children - or maybe waiting for another parent, may have a meeting at the school etc etc

As you said, you agree that this person is probably a pervert which has an unhealthy interest in children. Any such unhealthy interest in children should be reported.

Again, I implied anything in my last reply and once more I still dont understand how you can class this as a knee jerk reaction!

You may turn a blind eye, but its good to know other people would also be willing to report a suspected child pervert to make the relevant authorities aware.

Which is why any parent that is suspicious would tell one of the teachers, who would then approach the person to see what their reason for being there was.

The facts as we have them to date are someone probably wants to sniff kids shoes nothing more or less, yet you compared it to some guy who has a roomful of pictures, clothes and a computer that contained god knows what and dont call that a knee jerk reaction.

Where did i say i would turn a blind eye? If i thought someone was going to go anywhere near a child i would do something about it to safeguard the child.

What i do find disturbing is how you are trying to portray me as someone who would let a child be hurt just because i have the affront to disagree with you.

It was an example of something legal which would also have raised concerns. Certainly not a knee jerk reaction as you like to claim.

Again, you speak like its normal for someone to want to sniff kids shoes! This behaviour isnt normal!! Yes, it may well be legal - but its still a concern.

I havent portrayed that at all. What we have is a man with an unhealthy interest in smelly worn kids shows which the majority of people think should be brought to the attention of the authorities - and yourself and a few others that think it should be ignored as its legal.

Makes me question the people in this thread which cant see whats wrong with a man wanting to buy smelly young girls shoes, or think that it shouldnt be reported.

So you you didnt imply i would turn a blind eye while a child may need help?
Im sorry but you seem to be confusing what is legal and what is perverse.
And because i have the termerity to disagree with you, you seem to fall back on statements which are a veiled accusation that i might in some way allow harm to come to any child .
That in itself is a knee jerk reaction because the inferance seems to be because i know its legal and not reportable in the instance as portrayed in the op then somehow i must be culpable in some way,by either thinking its normal or turning a blind eye.

Shoe fetishism is the attribution of attractive sexual qualities to shoes or other footwear as a matter of sexual preference, psychosexual disorder, and an alternative or complement to a relationship with a partner.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Im well aware of what is and isnt illegal. As I have said numerous times in my posts, although the act of wanting to purchase a pair of worn smelly girls shoes isnt illegal, it should still be reported to the authorities. Its called intelligence and a lot of authorities are intelligence led.

Disagree all you like. Your entitled to your opinion as much as I am mine.

What we have is a man with an unhealthy interest

How do you know that it is a man?

A guess. Would it make it any less worrying if it was a woman?
