Enjoying the Sunshine whilst Saving for the Rainy Day

Im a few days behind on your diary but The Secret sounds so interesting. I will have to take a look.
I am generally upbeat (not as much recently I know, but I do try ) and always do my best to instill the same with the girls. My extended family and majority of my friends, who I must admit I have now distanced myself from are the opposite and I find they really drag me down. I will have to take a look for this book. I think it might be really good for the PG household at the moment.
Oh and DFW, thanks for the offer of a cuppa the other day, the offer is extended right back to you ! xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

OMG, just lost a reply I'd written!
I am not getting on very well with windows 8. Total nightmare, made worse by the fact i've no idea how to do even simple things because i'm such a technophobe.
Anyway long story short. (Ok don't get too excited)
My smear test was normal :T
My bank card has arrived :j (internet banking can resume now :T)
I've written myself a daily schedule to fit meditation, yoga & "spiritual practice" in ...i.e I can carry the shovel but not think thoughts of using it like I would have done last week :rotfl:
P.s anyone know how to get music off a cd, onto windows 8, back onto my phone. It's driving me and DH & DS1 nuts!!! None of us can work it out. I hope it's not just my phone being stupid as it played up on the other computer a bit!

Hello, Just a quick one before I go on the school run, I've received a lovely bunch of flowers in a beautiful pink vase today from my Dad
I got a credit card through the post, DH I swear saw £££ in front of his eyes! I have stashed it away in my purse. It's for credit building and that is all, so we can only spend what we have to pay straight back on to it
.
Curry for dinner, it's in the slow cooker and smells yummyIt's my birthday today and I thought i'd have a nice easy day, have not though, just as busy with housework, dog walking, meditating (which got disturbed twice!) and helping friend jump start a car (had no idea what I was doing either
lol) DH made me a cake and I had the candles blown out on it and cut it up by 7am lol, he wasn't sure he would be here for later so wanted to do it with the kids. I hope that he is back for later though as he's away from the weekend for nearly a month and all week so far he's been finishing really late.
Problems with neighbour again. My welfare was in her house this morning probably whilst she sobbed into her cup of tea moaning about me. I saw her at the park yesterday, she was moaning about me on the phone to someone, imagine her surprise when she turned around and saw me stood thereooooh was funny. I can't change the she thinks of me, I can't change her lying. I can only change the way I react so DH & I and have decided to just totally ignore her complaints now unless they begin to affect his work then we are just hoping she will eventually fizzle out if I give her nothing to bite on! But, she did get a "look" yesterday for sure, so that was probably relayed to welfare so I get "told off" I have to laugh really as it's all so childish:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: If I didn't laugh I think I would do as skint suggested and go find a shovel
(just kidding!)
Finances wise:
Money for foreign laptop has arrived in my account from the refund.
Credit card arrived :T
I've been paid already :T
Right so much for my short message. Off out I go again. Hope everyone is well!Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. O-£200EF- £642.41/500
