Thank You Mary
I hope that Miss H is feeling better today xx
Today was a spend day but all budgeted for and needed. I spent £47.38 on weekly shop but will need to spend a little more in farm shop during the week. I ran out of time to get there by the time i'd finished in the shops. I spent £22 in pets at home on dog food which should last the month. And £3.99 on de-ionised water for the steam cleaner.
I've also rounded down accounts which shows in signature.
I bought a book with my pocket money last night from k1ndle and then realised i'd been logged on to my ds1's account:eek:. So his account if £3.87 less now, and I had to buy it again from my account
. I transferred the money to his account earlier to cover it so I bought the book twice. I just hope he reads it now! Thank god I decided against the £8 book :rotfl::eek::eek:.
I've been paid extra this afternoon for having friend's kids all day tomorrow :T so I bought my mum a new tablet as hers broke (suspect is one of my children having done itand there was no warranty on it ) it was £49. I was paid £55 so I transferred the difference to my isa
. Wasn't money i'd budgeted for so got rid of it before I wasted it :T.
DH is cooking and i'm making the most of it as I know I will be on kitchen duties from now as he goes back to work tomorrow. I've opted for cheap, easy meals all week to which DH rolled his eyes. I told him he can do the cooking at the weekend and it can be as difficult as he likesMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. I survived yesterday :T kids turned up at 7.50 and left at 6.20 (my friend was stood chatting to my DH about army issues whilst I looked after the kids running around :wall::whistle:). I was tired to say the least and then I started getting cramps and then full blown IBS. Joys! Stress, it doesn't seem to agree with me!
Whilst we were on our 2 hour dog walk yesterday (they wouldn't let me stretch it any longer :rotfl:) We happened to walk past some lovely large houses and the eldest girl I look after piped up "oh look isn't it lovely we're moving to a house just like it in April" Bit of a shock as my friend hadn't said anything but I thought to myself, I won't say anything until she does, and to be honest i'm kind of glad in a way. Well she didn't mention it last night but then messaged me later on and confirmed that they have indeed put in an offer on somewhere bigger but they won't be moving till at least April, maybe May. And it could fall through as it was dependant on a loan to make up their deposit  (didn't say anything to this but, wow! They already have over 25k of debt ) so I wished her luck and said not to worry about my income. Our debt was paid and it was just extra to put into savings. To be frank, I was dreading them coming round again for the whole year and miss having time for my own kids on a one to one basis so I think it could work out pretty well. AND I have the next few months to squirrel away as much as I can to savings so that I can still achieve my target. So belts are being tightened again and I will be living off just DH's wages and my rental income (if it ever gets let) for the next few months as soon as my wages go in they will be transferred straight to the ISA. I hadn't changed my budget an awful lot anyway thankfully so I know I can do this
.
I've also set myself another little target. DH and I have talked briefly about it and it's agreed that I will be moving with the kids next summer (2015) when DS1 has finished his GCSE's and will be looking to start college/6th form. DH is staying in the army so will live in the blocks and commute to us on the weekends until he decides to get out. He changes his mind about when this will be daily so we'll see whether or not he just ends up moving with us . I really cannot stand living here any longer. I think some places are just not good for the soul, this is my place that is no good. I've lived in many towns, cities, villages and of all of them I've never been so unhappy. I went to the school run this morning and came home heavy-hearted again. I bumped into the neighbour who has taken it upon herself to be-friend the only 2 people I speak too, some sort of silly petty revenge? I don't really care anymore but I somehow need to get through the next 18 months without it bothering me so much
. Ideas on a postcard please!
On a more positive note I received my new hoover & steam cleaner. The living room floor looked fab until the kids turned up this morning  I had hoovered it twice and then steam cleaned itI got immense satisfaction from it :rotfl:. Kids totally destroyed my efforts though, another reason why having only 2 small kids on a daily basis is always better than 5
.
I'm going to look at the spreadsheets in a moment and see where else I can cut back to still make my target on savings this year. Obviously the food bill as it's only so high because i've 6 growing kids every day for snacks, dinner and more snacks . When it goes back down to 3 unfussy children it will be much easier. I think also that one of my savings plans that i've had for 15 years is due to reach maturity right before my birthday next month, so this could go straight to savings. not sure how much will be in there though could be very little but I suppose every little helps :rotfl:.
Oh and before I forget, my friend's dad works as a mortgage broker and has offered to look at my noddle report and reckons we can still get a mortgage after a dmp it will just be for a higher rate than most and we'll also need a bigger deposit than usual. But it could mean we can buy next year rather than rent. Either way i'm going anyway nothing will be stopping me.
This week I need to write up a list of jobs that need doing around the house and get onto the landlord to fix them. Some have been needing doing for ages but I just did without (like the outside light). I also need to find a solicitors to witness my form being done that is money back to me so must do this asap. Umm need a trip to the local library as they now stock the recycling bags and a trip to the farm shop for potatoes & fruit. Think that is it really, I intend on staying in otherwise as it's too cold and I just see far too many people who don't like me/I don't particularly like them. Roll on me living back in civvie street, it's so much easier.........Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. Afternoon DFW,
Countdown to April then :rotfl:!!! I really dont know how you look after other peoples children, I really dont think I could do it! Are they moving far away from you?
Fingers crossed re the mortgage for next year that would be fab.
Re the neighbour dont really know what to say on that one, how blooming pathetic though that she has done that. Just hold your head high and do what you need to get through the next 18 months. Whinge to us daily if it helps.
Glad you enjoyed the steam cleaner aswell, same time tonight!! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Lots of exciting plans re the move, you'll do it I'm sure, you are motivated enough
Don't know what to say about petty neighbour (((hugs)))

Morning!
Granny, I think I might calling the council actually as they've moved office to the library but they didn't have the recycling bags there only at other smaller libraries around in smaller villages which I don't really know very well. I'd probably get lost as well as wasting petrol! So thanks for reminding me that I can just call them
Mummy. Wow yes countdown is on after this morning  (imagine that smiley but with hair being pulled out!) Sheesh I'm just not made for looking after kids I don't think:rotfl:.
Well this morning I bumped into her from next door again *rolls eyes* I was stood catching up with the only woman she hasn't be-friended yet and that I talk too and omg, you should have seen the dirty looks I got. F***ing playground. I hate them! They are no better than when you were a child being bullied in them . I was so angry that I went home and tried to think of some petty revenge that could be had. I stopped myself so don't worry nothing too bad, but I did do something very childish but it's made me :rotfl:anyway. Perhaps this is why I get treated this way in the playground because I should never have really left it :rotfl:. I logged on to my wifi and changed the username, so now every time her next door logs on to her one she can see mine. I stopped short of putting 'husky haters live here' as the virgin man had suggested :rotfl: after all it's not the dog who's upset me :rotfl:. Instead I just put something really childish along the lines of 'we hate stuck up snobs' (not exactly what I put in case my neighbours are on here :rotfl:). DH will no doubt roll eyes at me but I thought it was funny
and it's true.
I need to go to the farm shop today we have Jacket pots for dinner and i've none in yet. Also need to do online banking and still need to call a solicitors, but they scare me so i'm building courage for this one(with dealings in the past with buying houses etc I find them so rude and offhand that they just annoy me, they seem devoid of humour and personality -well the ones i've spoken to!)
Will give the house a quick going over too but not bothering too much as it's just wasted effort as kids destroy it after 5 mins of being home. Roll on them going, indeed!:D

Well I've been productive. Productive means spends though
.
Called solicitors, they squeezed me in straight away and the only snooty person was the receptionist (???) the solicitor was lovely :T. Charge was £5. Then went to farm shop, spent £17 on big sack of tats, white vinegar in bulk, and lots of fruit. £14 in Tatco on diary for the year, wall calender (with 5 columns) and some plain paper for kids scribbles and pictures and some envelopes.
I've emailed the council for more clear sacks but it says up to 2 weeks delivery and i've totally run out so I may still go searching for this library
DH finishes early today as he's got rugby then straight home. Hope so as i've got monthly headaches and lots of pains. Feeling yukky.
Will pop to PO in a bit as it's shut for lunch atm. Will post the letter off for the deposit and fingers crossed I will get it back. I didn't know what to enclose so I put in a print off of my spreadsheet of what she owes and what's been paid etc. Gave a small explanation of why I was claiming underneath and that was it? Hope I didn't do it wrong! Will send it signed for or recorded (will check back on EE's recommendation in a mo!) and nothing more I can do there really.
If I stay on track I may be able to make extra payments to the ISA this month but that's if nothing crops up and we don't overspend :T will see how I go but would like to get that account up as much as possible before I lose my small income.
