I've just googled how to bleed a radiator and now feel like a muppet for calling men out to do it for me before nowit's incredibly easy and took me 5 mins to do the ones which needed doing! The heating is all working and I must be going through menopause 20 years early or something because my 2 younger children and the dog were huddled round it whilst I was thinking "too hot!" Only had it on half hour just enough to make sure everything was working but now the kids have had it on I reckon I won't hear the end of it

Evening! V@nquis called again whilst the two smaller kids were fighting and the eldest had loud bangy music on. Urgh. Let's just say I wasn't very nice and threatened them ...lord knows who I'm supposed to report them to though?! I was so annoyed/stressed I was actually hysterical and in between laughing and crying ho hum perhaps they'll note down this time that Mr Dfw is away until flipping December!!!!!!!!
Spends today: £6 on kung fu and £9 on weekly top up shop. Forgot the poxy pumpkin though so kids moaned all the way home! Tomorrow's job maybe. We're expecting the storm here tomorrow and fb friends have gone into a frenzy 'battening down the hatches' 'better safe than sorry' ..I looked out my window and realised my garden looked like it had already been hit by a hurricane, garden chairs strewn across the patio, grass and trampoline (don't ask -kids!) Plant pots over-turned, didicars, scooters, bikes thrown all over the place, recycling bags all over the grass. Shut curtains and have decided that perhaps the wind might help blow it all back into place! Might make a cake tomorrow though, does that count as preparation?
Night all; don't get blown away now will you!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. That made me laugh:rotfl: getting the wind to replace your stuff and put it back in the right place!!:D
I agree re the kids. But at 5pm yest when they were saying they wanted to watch SCD I got them to clear up. 2 did one room and the other one helped me clear up the kitchen. Magic. :T I like having older kids when it works like that..although the lack of evenings, general cost and transporting about etc is much less good :eek:

MOrning DFW, sorry to hear vanqu!s are still being a pain in the !!!!!, but why are they ringing if everything has been paid off?.
Hope the winds havn't hit you too hard and that your garden is still in one piece, think we have got away lightly up north, just a bit blowy and a bit of rain.
Take care and have a good day.0 -
We survived! Hallelujah! My car got the worst damage - a huge tree snapped literally down the middle and branches blew all over the place- one under / tangled in my car. Garden looks the same (shame...) no damage though really, lots of fallen trees and trampolines in middle of roads though ( see the kids must have known so put loads of carp all over ours as added weight and ours is one of the only ones to stay put
)
DD has gone to youth club....on her own! This is a big deal for her- she's so shy. In fact I'm sat here clock watching wanting to go back to get herher friend was supposed to go but didn't and her mum ignored text msgs from me ( I was happy to take her and drop her bk!) I may go down there soon and sit in the computer room which is next door and spy?! Have to go to shop anyway as forgot milk and that is in the next building along! Will report bk
