    The City of London Fraud Squad are taking an active interest in this – their contact tele no is 0300 123 2040 and they are asking for victims to contact them.

    The water companies are taking a real hard line with people and businesses where bills have fallen behind.

    My own domestic bills is 6 months behind with 6 out of 8 SmartSource Water payments to my water company not gone through. Talk about systematic, considered FRAUD. Reminders and notices went to SSW and I was never notified. I am now in the hands of debt collectors for £360,

    The scale of this is MASSIVE and some people will still be paying. There must be publicity made of this to tell people or their losses will escalate.

    I know of
    business 1 £58000 unpaid
    business 2 £100,000 unpaid
    business 3 £15000 unpaid

    There are MANY MANY more!

    i know of charities, elderly people and so many more. This is a major disgrace and people need help NOT a hard time from the water companies who are taking a blanket approach. This has hurt people badly at at time when nobody business or individual can take losses like this

    Not all water companies are taking a hard stance on this....

    The industry is aware of what has now happened and will no doubt try to assist customers where it can.

    no disrespect but is that why they are not calling off the debt collectors for me. it is in their hands now so we cannot take it back

    Whilst everyone must sympathise with the victims of this case, I really would advise caution, and stop making specific accusations of criminal behaviour against named individuals.

    It could damage the chances of future action against the culprits.

  • I'm a domestic customer of Smartsource Water who has been taken for an expensive ride. Would like to try and get some money back if possible , any ideas about doing this would be appreciated .
