This company claims to save money on your water bill but how can they save if I'm on a rateable value charge?

I've heard some strange stories about them like not returning phone calls. Has anyone had experience of this company and can they really save me money?

Seems too good to be true! They may be ex-employees of the Water industry but what do they know that the Water Companies won't tell us?

Many houses, both on Rateable Value and metered charging, are paying for surface water drainage(SWD) - companies use different terms for SWD.

This is where water from gutters etc enters the sewerage system. Many of those houses could claim relief from that charge as their water goes to a soakaway. It is very simple for the householder to claim direct from the water company.

Search for SWD on this forum for more details.

Some companies will make a charge for applying on your behalf. I assume that this might be one of those companies??

This company is on the brink of bankruptcy.
The staff are owed wages and have been told, stay on without complaint and no wage or leave!
You decided if you would go with such an outfit?

And no if they are I won't go with them obviously!

Wonder what will happen if they do go under, presumably they are holding some customers money as you pay them direct.

When most small firms go bankrupt/cease trading customers have zero chance of getting their money back.

I don't know about bankruptcy but they have taken three standing order payments and not passed them onto my water authority thus making me in arrears. I have had to pay the water company and am now trying to get my payments back from smartsource.

I see that a petition for a winding up order has been made against the company now. Not looking good unless they pay that off!

This information is registered with Companies House, although their own website doesn't necessarily show this information as it only gives high level information and not more detailed information.

There are various websites that will provide you with company reports against this company for a fee.

The full company name is SMARTSOURCE DRAINAGE & WATER REPORTS LIMITED and the company number is 06721621.

Their facebook page has already been taken down but the website is still up and running.

Cancel your standing orders and direct debits, and speak to your utilities company urgently, this company is not passing on your payments to the utilities companies, I have two colleagues who have already had a CCJ against them without their knowledge because this company has failed to pay the relevant utilities company.
