  • Fantastic news. Well done to you
  • Oh what wonderful news, Piq! Looking forward to the next instalments of the truly debt-free diary.
Bit of a shame about the slow cooker, they don't do moves well. I take it that the crockpot went? I gave my daughter a slow cooker with a steel inner that can't break, snag is that it makes it a super-fast slow cooker as the steel is far more heat-efficient than the crock.

I have got gas laid on in this house, but I couldn't get a gas cooker installed quickly when my last electric cooker bit the dust.

I actually prefer gas and perhaps you may come to do this too, there's a much faster response from the pans when you turn the heat up and down. No more frantic lifting up of pans threatening to boil over.
I think my roasts were a tiny touch better too, but perhaps that's memory adding a gloss.

Quite touching about Colin and his attachment, I'm pleased he has a new perch to watch the world go by.

Re carrying 'stuff', this morning I took my 'leccy toothbrush off its charger in the bedroom to put it back in the bathroom and five minutes later caught sight of it on the side in the kitchen. It was quite a surprise. :o

Well that's it. Finally after five years and nearly £70k of debt and £150k of mortgage.......I am debt and mortgage free :T I have paid off my last credit card, the mortgage was cleared on Tuesday and I do not have an overdraft :T Feels a bit strange to be honest. To stay in the mse way I rounded down my current account and transferred the £8.19 to my savings account, very odd not to send it to the credit card.

Today I bought a new slow cooker, turns out the old one got broken in the move, and some milk. I don't feel the need to buy anything else.

I'm going to have to put a whole new budget in place and a savings plan too. A good start to December.

Just f'g marvellous. What a brilliant start to the weekend..:T Great news. Awesome.
