I took a large sandwich bag of horse manure round Tesco once - forgot I had it in my bag to drop off at the vet for a worm count! I'm sure they wouldn't have been very pleased if they'd known....
Glad the move has gone relatively smoothly and wishing you every happiness in your new home0 -
Piq - wishing you every happiness in your new home
Loved hearing the 'moving in' tales.
Plus loving the 'confessional' thing that you've started:rotfl:

I'm glad it's not just me
I still can't believe I took a cat poo to the supermarket
I have just spent ages trying to change my address online for my TV license, just kept timing out  I've managed to change my bank details, but now I'm being refused purchase by the 'verified by visa' thing at the end of an online purchase. Very frustrating. I'm trying to order a bookcase. I've given up for the day, tomorrow is another day and all that!
Finally, I've been able to cook, no ready meal or takeaway. Just a simple made from scratch tomato and chilli pasta with a glass of wineHad to be simple I'm cooking with gas for the first time  Didn't dare leave the kitchen.

Glad you have settled in, loving Colin and his phantom miceglad he seems to approve of the new abode.
Lindens we know you're there....stop lurking! Poor Colin was worryingly funny chasing the phantom mice as his back legs kept giving way meaning he was sprawling in a very inelegant way. Literally falling down drunk. I wish I'd taken a picture of him asleep in my mum's shower cubicle a very un-cat like place to sleep.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Piq, so glad everything went smoothly, and I sincerely hope you get on better with a gas hob than I do! As soon as the guarantee is up on our house in April 2015, my gas hob will be changed to one that runs on elektrickeryGood enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -
Glad all is well Piq. Going to the supermarket with a bad of warm poo... that really made me laugh :-D .
Don't worry about the gas hob you will get used to it fast enough. Until I moved in with DHI had only ever cooked on electric.. didn't take long to adjust at all.0 -
Glad the move went well.:T
I guess your mum still has all the goodies/food that she brought Colin if he was content enough in the shower:rotfl:0 -
Well that's it. Finally after five years and nearly £70k of debt and £150k of mortgage.......I am debt and mortgage free :T I have paid off my last credit card, the mortgage was cleared on Tuesday and I do not have an overdraft :T Feels a bit strange to be honest. To stay in the mse way I rounded down my current account and transferred the £8.19 to my savings account, very odd not to send it to the credit card.
Today I bought a new slow cooker, turns out the old one got broken in the move, and some milk. I don't feel the need to buy anything else.
I'm going to have to put a whole new budget in place and a savings plan too. A good start to December.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
