I would second the suggestion of ao.com, fantastic service.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -
In recent weeks I have been clearing out my dads house(since he died).Did'nt think he had that much stuff as like me he wasn't a hoarder, but by heck there was tons of stuff and as I like to recycle it took me quite some time to clear the house. So now when I hear somebody is clearing a house ,I always think "good luck", its hard work.
Well done to your DS's, hope the neighbours got the hint.x
I don't think they got the hint, almighty row between the siblings last night. Roll on mum returning. I think I am going to have to tell her. If only for the reason that I told the buyers the neighbours were quiet!Just_me_him_and_the_pooch wrote: »Hi Piq,
re new washer, got a new one recently from ao.com, great service and good prices too. Hope that helps.
Thanks for this. I've had a look and they're £50 cheaper than elsewhere, next day free delivery too. As soon as I've got a date I'll order the new washing machine.tunathe_cat wrote: »wow busy as ever! well done Ds I hope colin joined in with the singing!
Are you taking any plants with you? or can you be brave and a fresh start in the new garden
Have you a moving date yet - one saucepan out sounds like you are a student at uni.
Take care
x
Colin only sings in the car, he cowered under the coffee table whilst the boys were in the loft. Reinforces the plan for him to go to my mum for moving day. He's terrified of loud noises and large things being carried.
I am taking some plants with me. I have several roses in pots along with a couple of hydrangeas and a dwarf budlea, not to mention masses of potted scented pinks. I will have a new garden to plan one day :T
Only need one saucepan as I eat at work, saves money and I've lost my cooking mojo. I have to leave my wonderful kitchen behind both mentally and physicallyTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Moving house is very stressful, I don't envy you, it's taken us 3 months to get our new place sorted and there's still things that need sorting.
I'm guessing Colin is the cat, what a fabulous nameour friend accidentally called Leo Colin at the weekend which had us in stitches then we wish we'd thought of it. My parents have a Kevin the cat which suits him very well x

Yesterday didn't go according to plan all I managed was to list three items on eb@y, they're a bit random so I'm not sure if they'll sell or not. Time will tell.
The reason for things not going to plan was because I'd forgotten it was my birthday:o People kept turning up during the day and I got taken out to dinner in the evening and drank a little too much ProseccoI have been given lots of Am@zon vouchers with strict instructions only to spend on myself. I'm allowed books for my kindle or things for the new house, nothing for anyone else including Colin or the Captain!
The Captain sent me a card, framed photo of himself and Noah (how vain is he?) and a Totally Carrot recipe book :rotfl:
I'm going to list an old cupboard on eb@y today, it'll be a first for me, not listed furniture before. It's a Laura Ashley one, needs repainting but is a very decent piece of furniture. It will be interesting to see how it goes. There won't be any pot clearance as it's raining, so I'll continue to pack.
Tonight is the start of the late shift at work, up until Saturday. It gives me the days to get things done around here. Might book myself a haircut, definitely could do with it!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Yes, Colin [small font, because it's such an embarrassing name to be calling out to get him in] is the cat. The Captain is my horse who has had to move away for a while because I couldn't afford to keep him while I was out of work. I was lucky as a friend took him on free of charge. Once I have moved, my outgoings will halve and I will have money left over to rent or buy a field for him and his friend Noah so he can come home again.
Kevin is a great name too, perhaps if I got another cat I could call him Kevin.....Hmmm, Colin and Kevin ...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Re new mattress if you know someone with a macro card keep an eye there they do silent night ones, I've got both my decent ones from there & they are fab quality, good price & still going strong
Macro is one of those places I don't know anything about, not sure if we have one near here. The plan for the mattress involved going to try them out [think I'm going feel somewhat embarrassed trying out mattresses] Then once a decision is made order it online through a cashback site. I try to use them as much as I can.
