This is the English version, or Welsh at least ;) This is the wording from an advert for a house for sale in my town.

This is what I love so much about the power/wonder of MSE.The sharing of information and the support we all give each other:D

  • Hi Piq, no wonder you are feeling stressed. Your estate agent should be sorting all this out for you, without being asked as that is what you are paying them for. Sometimes they need a kick up the rear end. It's not cheap selling a house and you need all the support you can get, that is what they are suppose to be their for, to do all the negotiating on your behalf to get the best possible price.
    Good luck with it all.

Erm FYI 6 week wait for surveyor ATM .... But yes you need an update, I would also say unless they agree to an exchange in x days and completion in y days you are going to accept another offer and they have z days to advise their intentions
Also get Highest bidder to agree to exchange completion schedule

    Bet of luck

Meant to say I received a cheque for £25.00 as a thank you for changing internet supplier. I didn't know that was coming, so a very nice bonus!

Listed another ten items, so boring....and packed up and arranged couriers for another six. I shouldn't complain as that's money in. One item made me £95.00, it was hidden in the back of a cupboard, completely forgotten about:o

55 more CDs packed up and ready for collection from MusicMagpie. It's all music I haven't listened to for years and can't remember why on earth I bought it in the first place. All the keeping CDs are boxed up and labeled too.

There is still so much to do. In the way of children, all have offered to help this week and not one has turned up :rotfl:I will plod on....

    that does it for me!

I would have thought buyers would be round measuring up and stuff.. and just generally checking the place out.

It is a bit odd all this house buying stuff.

Yes me too, the Captain is winning the argument. I'm really missing him at the moment. He's been sending me photos of Noah and him sharing boy kisses, but it's not the same as seeing him [and being part of a menage a trois....]
How about this: *BEST AND FINAL OFFERS* On the instructions of the vendor, all interested parties are to submit their highest and final offers, along with details of financial circumstances and proof of funds, to [Estate Agents] by [date]

I think that's what the estate agent has in mind. I'll find out more tomorrow.

Me too. You see it everywhere on this forum in particular. Some of the other ones aren't so nice though.

In the estate agent's defence, he is sorting it all out, but it's me that must make the final decision as to which buyer to accept. It is the two buyers that keep approaching the estate agent and trying to offer more for the house. We keep thinking it's all settled and back pops the buyer that isn't the one that's in the running.

I am so glad I went down the estate agent route rather than handling it myself. I'd have gone mad. In my opinion this estate agent has been very helpful, communicates all the time and genuinely seems to want what is best for me. He can recommend things, but ultimately it is me that has to decide.

I had a survey done the other week, it certainly wasn't a six week wait, just a week from the initial phone call. Perhaps it's different in this neck of the woods?

    Evenin' all

Not such an upbeat post this evening. I am tired. I've been tired since I woke up this morning, that horrible light-headed feeling sick sort of tired. Even though it's my day off from the main job I had to do a shift at the coffee shop and I really struggled.

I've done nothing since I got home except send an email chasing the solicitor for some sort of communication. I got back a 'sorry I'm behind with my correspondence I have dictated a response to your letter' Great.....

The survey is going ahead for today's current buyer. I can't be bothered to clear up. The house is beginning to get that tatty look that a home has when you take the Christmas decorations down, sort of grubby and tired.

Somehow I struggled home on the bus with several cardboard boxes and a huge sack of giant bubble wrap. I don't think I was very popular :rotfl:Colin is currently sitting in a cardboard box looking very pleased with himself.

I still have eb@y parcels to package up and three dresses to iron to list on eb@y but it can all wait until tomorrow.

Yesterday I found some vintage out of print books, after a quick check round t'interweb it looks like they might raise some more cash. Just need to find the right outlet.

A bit of a down post I'm afraid, but it's only a blip. I think the tiredness is actually stress related as I'm certainly not sleeping properly.

At least this week I'm on the day shift which is less tiring than the evening one.

Tiredness is awful - I can sympathise. It can make you feel quite ill.
You have done a tremendous amount in the last weeks - both physically and emotionally. It takes its toll eventually. Hopefully you will get a better night's sleep tonight and things will seem better in the morning.
