A couple of days have gone past already with no update from yours truly :o

The car passed it's MOT but only after £351 worth of work:eek::eek::eek::eek: Worn out brakes...... Thank goodness I have an emergency fund nowadays. Nevertheless, it's money I didn't want to spend. It also entailed having to hang round town for hours waiting. So I also spent on lunch, well, I was very hungry:D

Dad is still being awkward, but he is starting to go out a bit and is using his walking frame rather than his mobility scooter. A good thing!

The finances are up to date and as I suspected I've spent far too much over the last few months. It's time to start shopping around for best prices again, no more excuses!

    .....and here is Casper

Casper is supremely GORGEOUS!! :D so sorry to hear about the MOT cost, that sucks pond water, truly but at least you had the emergency fund. Glad to hear the new job is going well, glad to hear overall everything is going well :T:T

    Keep smiling xx

...and here I am back again! Sorry about the delay in replying, dear Dad.....

Dear Dad, who decided to go for a long walk, when he hadn't done his exercises and hardly walked at all, discovered that he aches, big time! And boy, is he making everyone know about it :( Meaning I've had to spend time over there helping Mum out with him.

Casper is a cutie, and Colin now greets him in passing. However, this is so exciting for Casper that he feels the need to wash Colin's face, meaning he get a doing on the top of his little white head for being so disrespectful :rotfl:Colin just retires to the throw, which, incidentally, is still mine, and looks down at the kitten with disdain!

The horsey boys are as happy as hippos in mud, in fact it's difficult at times to tell that they aren't in fact hippos.... A lot of brushing once the mud has dried!

I am a bit fed up today as my hours have been cut quite considerably. I need to do a complete overhaul of the finances to see if I'm going to be able to cope. It's a new business and it looks like it's not doing as well as first hoped. I thought I was settled and that life would settle down from the last few years, looks like it's not to be.:(

I also accidentally have an addition to the Elephant fold who has already cost me a lot of money!!

Come on EE! Who and what is the addition? It's not fair to only give a snippet of information :naughty:

That is one cute puzz cat :) Total sunblock for his ears when the sun comes back next year.............;)

Yes, the ears are very pink. I have been wondering if he should wear a little straw hat rather than sunblock :D I have already agreed with my lovely neighbour that she will also keep some sunblock at hers and cover his ears whenever she sees him. At the moment he is still housebound luckily!

Its lovely to hear from you Piq, glad the boys are all OK & Caspar is very cute.

Forewarning to all piquettes as I'm sure some expressed interest last time it was available but missed it, Aldi are doing a heated throw in their special offers again this Sunday (12th October) £30

Maybe I should get another one instead of fighting Colin for the original

    Hi Piq, :hello:

Casper is gorgeous - very huggable! Glad to hear he's wearing down Colin's resistance to his companionship. :)

Not such good news about Dad and work. Mum is lucky you live within reach so can help..

As for work; shame, but at least you have more strings to your bow - cakes and garden items.

I used to charge £25 - £50 for elaborate decorated birthday cakes which was a handy supplemental income, but there are a lot more people doing it these days. £20 for a Victoria sponge with simple icing and written greeting message sounds about right. :)
