I'd go for boring too. Every time I have wished for something exciting to happen it has always gone badly wrong!!
Once I made some tuna sandwiches and left them on top of the eye level grill (if you remember them!). I thought they were out of harm's way. When I went to to retrieve them there was only the bread and butter left - the bread having been neatly replaced to look as though nothing had happened! One very contented smiling cat asleep on my bed!
my old Sugar cat ate the bread as well when she did this!!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -

Reminded me of the antic with the bird house
Also saw your red beauty on Britain's b3st baker, have to say owning one of those would persuade me to bake but would do nothing for my waistline

Well, was I right?
Plenty of hugs, no proposals or flowers :rotfl:The second shift is not with the oldies, the clientele is of a younger persuasion.scaredy_cat wrote: »my old Sugar cat ate the bread as well when she did this!!

The chocolate dipped hearts went down a treat. I now have twenty valentines.
There is always a lot of bread left over at work I think I might make a bread pudding and see how that fares. I think the oldies would like that. I will have to buy a square tin to bake it in, if successful I'll get work to reimburse me for the cost.
My colleague that I work with on the Friday lunchtime shift was in a mood over it all though, I don't think he likes the affection the oldies hold me in. To be honest he's a moody whatnot most the time anyway and I only have to put up with him for a few hours on a Friday and the overtime shift on a Sunday. The lunchtime regulars were asking if I was doing a 'special' as in the pulled pork that I did last Friday, don't think that helped his mood either!
Last late shift of the week tonight, hope the wind dies down before that, I don't fancy the buffeting drive across the common much.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Try not let miserable git get to you. Sounds delish the food you are making. Is bread pudding like bread and butter pudding. I am nursing a cold and cough so on coming back from sorting horses I have climbed back into bed and on sat morning kitchen they just showed a bread and butter pudding so now I feel like some
How are Noah and Captain doing in this weather - is the flooding bad where they are? Luckily our paddocks are up and down so the girls just stand up on the hill but the rest of the field has a river and private dam in it.0 -

What a shame you are feeling rough, it is the pits having to go out to do the horses when you're under the weather. Hope the wind blows the germs away for you and you start to feel better.
A bread pudding is stodgier it is cut up into squares and can be served cold as a cake. It is very different to bread and butter pudding. This is the one I intend trying - recipe
The Captain and Noah are fine but no longer out in a field as they are all under water. With the Captains very hairy legs standing submerged would mean he would stay wet even in his stable, not good at his age. So they go out into the playground [hard-standing] with hay for about four to five hours a day, then snuggle up in their adjoining stables for the night. They are on a very posh dressage yard, so get all the best things in a horsey life, boy will they be slumming it when they come home :rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Ooo might try that recipe - thank you.
The boys may be slumming it when they come home but they will lavish the love and attention from their mum that they will get on a regular basis. I bet you cant wait.0
