Thanks weller, I think (hope) todays talk will have helped - we both want to work things out and get back on track.

Thats it - keep talking, best thing to do and also things are also strained after a new arrival in the family, aren't they ;)

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if I've got a bit of pnd too - god, I really don't want it.... :(

I don't feel depressed, just ridiculously anxious about everything (hubby was just stood by the window showing Natasha the garden and I told him to make sure he didn't drop her out of the window......what's that all about???)

Normal maternal instincts I would say :)

Hope to God your not getting PND but if you do feel a tiny bit like you are, get yourself to the GP's as soon as possible to nip it in the bud before it could get worse. Can you talk to your HV, is she supportive?

Well done tig :T that's fab

Snags, sorry you and hubby are going through a rough patch, I agree that you should maybe have a chat with your health visitor about how you are feeling. Are you and hubby fighting about the same things over and over or are you just bickering daily about anything and everything?

A few months ago I started getting really ratty with OH, the general public, the cats. I'd been suffering from migraines horribly for 10 years but during the past 12 months I would get really depressed and cry for hours before a migraine hit. Then during January I had a flu which took 2 months to get over, I think the workload of the past 3 years just suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks. Anyway, after this flu thing the migraines and tearfulness, PMS, you name it just became so bad I could hardly function. I poured all of this out one day in a few PMs with elantan who told me to get to the doctors. I suppose it took for someone else to say, this isn't right for me to hear it. So, I went on some antidepressants and my life is back to how i used to be. Still a bit burnt out but so much better.

I think the key for me was seeing that it was me who had the problem and there was actually nothing wrong with my relationship with OH, the kids, general public and the cats. I was irritated by different things every day, had it of been specific issues which kept coming up it would have been a different story and I would have felt it was external stuff I had issues with.

I'm not suggesting that you do have PND, but maybe think about what the issues really are, so you can see if it is your relationship just going through one of those sticky patches we all go through or if maybe you are feeling down.
