    Hi Keren

i can understand functioning. I think I am coming to the end of my phase and I am going to have a real go at it again. I realised last week that I weigh the same now as I did in June! Not good. Time to start again I think.

Although I did going walking/jogging yesterday and will try to fit in some more exercise this afternoon.

    i'm having a dilemma.

I don't own a winter coat and other than my fleece to get through the winter (albeit usually a mild one down here) I get through without a coat or just with my trusty but now doggy haired fleece to walk the dog.

I've decided I can afford a nice winter coat this year if I shop around, and i've found the one I want. I love floor length, military style ones, lovely faux fur collar etc and the one I've found is reduced from £120 to £39. I thought - buy it now whilst it is still Summer. Not practical for walking the dog, but at least if I go out anywhere else during the day or evening, I'll have a coat to put on.

I don't know what size to get. Whatever I get I want the coat to last me a few years and I don't know whether to get my current size and think, well I haven't lost much since we started trying to beat Lenny, the loss by Jan/Feb isn't going to be that much, or to get a size smaller and 'slim into it' (oh yes, that old favourite.........)

I'm having an 'if only I'd tried harder' moment. In theory, if I could get myself to do it properly rather than 'playing' at it, I could lose 2 stone before it got cold here, maybe 2 and a half stone. But £39 is still a lot of money if it ends up stuck on the hook all winter...........

ggggrrrrrrrrrrr...............very cross with myself for being so rubbish.........

I'm also beng a bit rubbish in other parts of my life. I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment.

    Hi Keren

You are not rubbish! So don't even think it.

As for what size to go for I'm not going to be much help I spent most of last winter in a coat to big as I was refusing to spend the money on a new one. If you think you can slim into it then get the smaller one.

I think we all have problems loosing weight sometimes, I know I have over the last few months. Just understand that sometimes life gets in the way, I'm sure your lighter now than you were which is all that matters.

Can you have a good food day today? I find that helps to boost my motivation and gives me a bit more energy.

    take care x

The only good thing at the moment is that I stuck a photo on here (whatever photo comes up probably won't be me, it's a random photo generator)

and apparently the average age guess is 3 years younger than I am, so that's quite flattering!

Keren, which one of the photos is you? The coat sounds like a real bargain - you may be limited in sizes available.

SW still going well here - 5lbs lost this week :j

Lets keep going girls and boys - lovely Lenny will be back before we know it ;)

Aww thanks Beanie. I think I may be becoming obsessed with it all - I constantly have the SW book in my hand.

I'm back to work next week, so we will see if I can carry it on as well there. Hopefully it wont be a problem.
