Well, I've not been too well over the last couple of days. I've had a bit of indigestion brewing for a couple of weeks but over the last 48 hours or so have had the most horrendous heartburn, particularly at night. I've got up as soon as I've gone to bed and it was 4 this morning before I went back to bed and 2.30 the previous morning. I had a few swigs of a liquid heartburn remedy a couple of days ago but I've moved onto Zantac, which did nothing last night. Other than tired, I feel ok at the moment, but too scared to eat or drink anything because of the pain. I've done a quick looky online and it does seem to be this rather than anything more scary.

A couple of mugs of tea last night did seem to ease it a bit but as soon as I went back to bed it flared up again. I'm pretty sure it is because I upped the number of anti-flammatories I take a couple of weeks back and that's when it started. I should be careful really as I got an ulcer last time I did that.

I had a ham and tomato roll and chicken, chick peas, chicken and rice yesterday. I think I'll have to cut down on that today , maybe I'll just start with a cup of tea and see how I feel after that.

keren - Miserable Bollox suffers horredously with indigestion and they have just discovered a hernia which needs operating on. That coupled with little legs suffering from reflux when she was a baby I can understand how !!!!py you feel.
Hope I'm not teaching you to suck eggs but one of the best non mendical remedies for both of them is/was to stay upright for at least 1 hour after eating.
Bicarb is supposed to be good too although my 2 havent used this and even try sleeping propped up <if you can stand it> - just to let gravity give you a helping hand

Sammy - how are you doing? Feeling more normal yet?
    Spud - where are you?
Toto - are you gonna name drop or not ;)
Weller - still thinking of you :grouphug:

I have been really good this week and FINALLY think I have my right head on <YES, again :rotfl:>
    Today:
Brekki - HM Smoothie (Mango, Pinapple Juice & Lime)
    Banana
Lunch - Spag Bol left from last night
HM Blamange thing (fruit, jelly cubes, half pint boiling water, quarter pint cold & quarter pint evaporated milk)
Tea - Think I will have poached eggs on waffles with beans :D

    Good News for the Day:
Only one day to OH's interview
Little Legs has gone out for the day with her *boyfriend*
We are all happy & healthy

Tig! You are scaring me now! My OH has a hernia too, although when he started suffering from indigestion he looked on the internet and for six months he was convinced he had cancer. They won't operate on my OH as they said losing weight should be the first thing to try. My DD2 also suffered from gastric reflux when she was a baby!

Keren - go to the docs and get some losec (sp) they are really good. I also found drinking a glass of cold milk gave momentary relief from heartburn when it got too bad.

Good luck miserable bollox on the interview - fingers crossed.

I wouldn't say I was feeling any more normal yet, but I am managing to keep my head above water (just!). Spending a week in a caravan with the family next week. My BIL and sister will be in the next caravan, so really looking forward to it.

I have to say even though I say it myself, I look awful, tired and drained. I want my bouncy self back.

Good news for the day - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    Nothings gone wrong so far:rotfl:

Sammy -:eek: I must admit too that when you were talking about how much you weigh now to what you want to be I was also a little  coz give or take half a stone thats me too!!!

I had the same kind of encounter the other day too with Snaggles - we were bothing writing somethin on MSN (her about DS and me about DD1) and when we hit enter it was almost word for word

OH <aka MB ;)> - is LOTS heavier that he used to be but its finally hit him and he's has joined the *club* (Maybe thats why I am so focused at the mo) - so hopefull that will also help - he's not on the waiting list for the op yet as he was sent away to think about his options (apparently there will be a 50% chance he cant burp so more farting ;)) and he has decided to go for the op - we are just awaiting another appointment.

Glad your getting there and I hope you have a fab holiday - we are taking little legs to the coast tomorrow after *the interview*

Bob - I can feel it in my bones - this is the week for our fella's  LOTS of luck to him.
