Let us know what sort of things you like and we'll see what we can do. How about things like chicken hot pot? I also have a recipe for spiced baked chicken (I think you could freeze it before you cook it, not tried it yet but going to tomorrow)

Let me know if you fancy anything and I'll PM the recipes tonight. If not suggest a meal and I'm sure someone will have the recipe for it!

Don't forget though, those are the calories you need to LOSE weight - once you get to a weight you are happy with, you will be able to have more calories than that, to maintain your weight.

Do you like quorn at all? I make things like shepherds pie, chilli, keema curry (mince & pea curry), spag bol, lasagne, etc etc, all with quorn mince. I'm not sure about the calorie content, but a whole bag of quorn is only 4.5 points on weightwatchers, so it must be quite low.

I make fajitas, curries, casseroles, and loads of other dishes using quorn chicken style pieces too.

Blame Potter! I think it's a great idea.

Hellooooo tigtag!! Not sure what's happened to Weller, I hope she's okay, she's been through some awful things recently. I wish she would come back.

Weller, if you happen to read this, please pop in and let us know how you're doing, we're worried about you xxx

  • lucy thanks hun... i think because i have been 'fed' since around 12 on micro meals and snacks its hard for me to eat a full meal, hence why my diary on wlr is all snack :p i am trying to get into the habit that a small meal is better than 3/4 snacks but just because youa re fat doesnt mean you have a huge stomach

snaggs that is so true.. wonder what my maintating cal will be  well the only qourn i have eaten is the burgers and they have a aquired taste however if you cook them and add them to pasta and chesse thats scrummy :) to be honest i am not a big meat eater anyway, i have it if we have a roast but other than that unless we are going out or i cook something like spag bol i never eat it  i shall find out the cal in qourn, do they do minced stuff etc?

tiggy i see my plane remembered to pick you up... i did give the pilot instructions but they were more like destructions :rotfl: i finished harry sunday night... worth every min ;) and yes i miss weller too... cant remmeber the last time she was online :o

PAP - they do quorn mince and it's great as you just add flavour with a stock cube, herbs etc and its soooo low in cals, you can have cheese too without feeling guilty lol :D

I think things are about to get a bit competitive in the spud household.

My hubby came home from work this morning and announced he's had enough of being fat, and will be trying to lose some weight.

That will make life easier - there's nothing worse than watching someone who isnt trying to lose weight eat whatever they blimmin want :D
