Sea, do you cook the potatoes first before putting them in oven and do you coat them in anything? Thanks

I don't cook them, but you can par boil them - reduces cooking time. You can put coating on - often I just give them a spray with the fry light and a bit of salt, but you can use swartz shotz (little packets of seasoning, although quite expensive) or a variety of home mixed herbs and spices - although I'm not too good at that!

I often have them with tom ketchup or light mayo (meaured amounts) and also an egg or two :) egg, chips and beans :D Quorn sausages are very low in calories and are half price in tescos at the mo (the frozen bangers).

I make kedgeree too - half fat creme fraiche, mixed into a load of cooked rice and cooked frozen peas (although you can omit them if not liked) and a flaked up smoked mackera/kipper fillet (can get them quite cheap in the supermarket in those vacum packed clear plastic containers - makes it much easier than buying & cooking raw fish! Bit of tumeric and lovely comfort, but low fat, food!

Sausage and bean bake - mashed potato on top of dry fried and chopped quorn sausage and baked bean mixture, with a few herbs and spices or a stock cube. Yummy again. Can mash the potato with a little low fat yogurt to make it creamier and also sprinkle a little cheese on the top to make it crunchy.

Anyhoo, those recipies are all quite suited to Slimming World so not so sure about other diets! :) Thinkl they are quite low in calories too.

    Hello!

Not been a bad couple of days food-wise, I did slip up and have a cheese and tomato toastie yesterday, which I know is VERY high in fat, but I went for quite a long walk with my SIL (we power-walked with our prams for about an hour lol), so I think I burned it off.

The scales were showing I'd stayed the same this morning, so I've got some work to do to lose anything by Tuesday, but I've been reasonably good today.

Tonight's tea is fruity chicken with rice.....I have no idea what this is, but Stu promises it will be nice. I'll let you know....

Toto, well done on winning the dress, it's beautiful.

Thanks everyone, I am a size 10-12, which I know seems small but as I've said before I'm dead tiny under all of the spare wobbly bits. My normal size is 6-8 without looking too waif like. I will probably need a few alterations, no doubt it'll be too long.

I had a horrible thought this morning though, what about customs? I bought a piece of equipment from the states for £300 and we had to pay £60 in customs fees. If she sends it fully insured up to the $5000 value  the fees will be awful. I wish I'd thought of that yesterday. Oh well, it's paid for now so I'll just have to cross that bridge when I come to it.

It was a bit hit and miss if I'd win it to be honest, we had just finished work and I was bidding on my mobile phone, never done that before. I can log in here but haven't figured out how to post yet, that's next on my list.

Toto, we need a photo of you in the dress when you get it, you know ;)
By the way - have seen a thread, you know which one and the insult to you is disgusting, you are in no way what he says you are and we all love you. You are one of the most beautiful woman I have seen, well done for rising above it - loved your reply :rotfl:

I take no notice of prats like that, I found the whole thing pretty funny but thank you for being a sweetie. I will take a photo of the dress when it gets here. I'm really excited, OH knows i bought one and he's nagging for me to show him but that's asking for trouble.

    Thanks Tig and Toto

Will try both of those, sound very tasty.

Should I use packet sauce mix for the spag bol or a jar of sauce.

Can you buy low fat cheese?

Try this weller, the sauce is virtually fat free this way:

Fry 1 chopped onion with your mince
    drain
return to pan and crumble over one itallian oxo cube
    fry for 1 min
    add 1 tin chopped toms
    1tsp of garlic paste
    1tbsp of tom puree

You can also add one or more of the following:
    Mushrooms
    Carrot
    Peppers
    Celery

    Enjoy :):)

RE: the spag bol receipe - if you use a mexican oxo cube and add some kidney beans then hey presto you have a chilli ;)
