And you obviously have loads of time to be obnoxious and aggressive to people. What a helpful gem you are.
For those genuinely affected and interested, have just gained access by resetting password through telephone system which now appears to be working again.0 -

What did you do before the days of internet banking?
Because I needed to transfer some money urgently, not that it has anything to do with you!!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

It maybe a little slower but it would still get the job done!!
Well, considering they weren't answering calls either then how do you propose we do that?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Take the money out of a cash machine or in a branch and then pay it into where ever you need to make your urgent payment too.
As many others state you should and I myself do, you should always have a back up bank account with a different institution with a bit of money in for emergencies just like this.
Especially since there have been lots of Bank IT failures recently. Look what happened to RBS/Natwest customers not so long ago!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
And if you're not near a cashpoint or bank, and are unable to get to either today, like myself?
If you are unaffected by the Lloyds downtime, why are you so intent on dictating to others as to what they should do?0 -

Hardly useful when the person needing the money urgently is over 100miles away!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

I do bank with Lloyds TSB and HBoS so was affected by the downtime, but i'm not stupid enough to leave transferring money to another account so late. All my money transfers are done a few days before they need to be, as if there is a problem it can be rectified well in advance.
As for dictating what you should do, common sense should tell you what you should do, not looking on a forum to tell you what to do!!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

I'll be sure to consult my crystal ball in future then! :rotfl:“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
All sorted now, I hope it was more to do with Lloyds and TSB separating and not all us MSE members logging in to get our interest moved to another savings account which could have caused both HBOS and Lloydstsb to have a problem on their websites.
