    Had a call yesterday.

"I know it is a bit of short notice but can the surveyor call round in an hour as he is in the area"

He was on his way to survey the house that we hope to buy, just unlucky that he hadn't been there earlier.

He said that he was going to get the survey drawn up that day so should here from him next week!!

How long does it take from here guy's?

I have got itchy feet, trying not to but hey......I WANT TO MOVE!!!! :j

How long is a peice of string? haha. Your still at the very beginning. The survey is the first signs of serious house buying going on. Has your solicitor requested searches and stuff yet? They can take a few weeks to come depending on the council. They will also need to negotiate the form of the contract with the other sides(s). :j

The money for the searches has been sent of, so that will probably be a couple of weeks.

Is everything at standstill now untill they come back???

Good Lord I shan't be doing this again in a hurry.

It shouldn't be no. We were still getting draft contracts, environmental searches, survey, mortgage offer, etc etc. The search from the council was the last thing back actualy!!

I'm waiting for my call today that I've exchange, hopefully. Then the REAL fun begins for moving Friday

Hi all, just an update. We have been into sol's and signed contracts today, the sol was going to try and get hold of buyers sol today also (could be tuesday as he did say in and out of office all today today) to try and exchange and arrange for completion and moving day for the 20th June. I have decided the summer is waiting on us moving into our new house with the lovely garden :rotfl:
