Race to be in before Summer

Congrats to everyone who has exchanged/completed in the last few weeks.
Thanks for asking Indiegirl - had a run of bad luck during the last few weeks, my nan died and as I still haven't moved, I couldn't be with her when she passed away. On top of all the problems I have had with the sale, my internet livebox decided to pack up and then I was sent a replacement that was also broken!!
Anyway, after daily phone calls to everyone, this morning my estate agent received a fax from the purchaser's solicitors saying that they were now ready to arrange an exchange/completion date. However, when my solicitor called them, she was told that the MoD who are to have a 2nd charge on the property, need 21 days!!
I asked my estate agent to contact the purchaser to see if she could clarify this - the purchasers solicitor was not taking the estate agent or my solicitor's calls. The purchaser was told it would take 2 weeks!!
My solicitor eventually got hold of the purchaser's sol this afternoon, who said that she is waiting for the building society to approve the 2nd charge in writing (this was requested back in July!!). She chased it again, and it is now with the underwriting department. If this is OK'd, a letter will need to be faxed to the MoD before they will release the funds.
We have now been told that it could take 7 days or it could take 21 days. This is of no use to me as I don't know whether to send my 5 yr old son back to his old school or hold out for a week or two and send him to his new school. I know that once he sees all his friends again at school, he will not want to move and will get extremely upset.
My OH has now been away from us for 2 months and apart from the boys missing their dad, he will now lose his room in September.
If this sale and purchase ever go through, I can absolutely 100% guarantee that I will never move house again in my entire life!!!
I have obviously lost the race to be in for summer, I wonder how many more seasons I will see!!
On the upside, my estate agent, molyneux, and conveyancing warehouse have been fantastic and really on the ball..."A" is for Opple if yowm spaking loike a yamyam!0
