Thank you, Mara.
I'm afraid I cannot just stand by and watch us get into more debt. However, I am unsure what to do for the best. Damned if I do and damned if I don't at the moment.brizzledfw wrote: »Yep you're doing good..up and at 'em Alex...

I can think of another 5 items easily, at the moment I have a list to get through with over 40 items for ads to be made. Not all of it is worth a lot of money (I will list anything I expect to make at least £25 after fees) but that is just the first lot.
I look forward to your suggestions.

- List another pen
- List the largest (size wise) item which is readily accessible
- Start to empty/clear a path to the largest item to get it ready for sale next weekend
- Drink tea
- Drink more tea
- Cook dinner from scratch
- Drink even more tea
- Don't go to a cafe
- Or restaurant
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Sunday 30th March, 2014.
Dear Diary,
I hope all the mothers on here have had a nice day. I have to admit the day was done somewhat "on the cheap" in our household with me refinishing my mother's old coffee table as a gift and planting a magnolia tree in the garden from son to Mrs. K. Can't say she was thrilled with that as her only gift but I had no more money to buy her something more suitable.
My lack of funds has been somewhat weighing on my mind these past few days, first in a miserable, woe-is-me way then in a more productive "how can I change this" type of way. Now, I hope my actions will begin to pay dividends.
On the debt busting front, I wish to keep quiet for a few days other than to say that there may be some progress by the end of the week.
Summary:
Saturday:
-£15.00 Groceries.
-£50.00 Diesel.
-£? Mrs. K.
Sunday:
NSD for both of us.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:

You're a shining star, gallygirl.
I can manage most of that, especially the tea.
Not going to manage the "no cafe" tomorrow as I do have a business meeting in the morning and another in the afternoon, so I will not be back home for lunch. Certainly no restaurant though and I already have dinner in mind. 2018 totals:

Admit? ADMIT? I can't decide if you know your audience and are doing that for effect or not.
Me, I gave my mum a phone call - she hadn't noticed it was mothers' day.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

gallygirl: I'll have a think on it.
theoretica: In response to your question, I do think about my audience. Is there something wrong with that? I did say I wanted to make my diary entries at least somewhat entertaining from the start. In all honesty, I didn't imagine today's entry was particularly interesting and I did not consciously write "for effect".2018 totals:
