Seeing musical progression and those light bulb moments where a concept clicks into place in ones mind. (Perhaps, I should have been a "real teacher" after all!)
Yes you are a teacher. No should have been about it.
Hope your father recovers quickly. Take care.
What does it feel like having a structure again? Indeed school holidays are always looked forward to in school. And not by the kids;)0 -
WOW - Read your thread right at the beginning of you posting (lurker) and I'm gobsmacked by how much debt you have managed to pay off. Huge well done! Very inspiring and you should be extremely pleased with yourself!

Good news on the keeping busy, and I really get where you and a few other posters are coming from with teaching...the wonderful happy feeling when a new stunt or tumble hits with the squad is one like no other.

Hope the beef was up to the usual standard today?;)
Seriously, hope you're just busy and nothing amiss.:)0 -
Hi all,
I've not managed to post in quite a few days, mainly because I've had a lot on my mind and much more busy than I thought I'd be this week. Oh and the fact I've not been so good with money this past week could have something to do with it.

Keep plodding; it'll all be worth it in the end
It is a good feeling, indeed. Something I would have no doubt scoffed at when younger, let alone understood. If only I could go back with hindsight I'd have put everything right.
I hope so.

Thank you.
It's good to have somewhat of a structure again. Over these past few weeks I have realised just how much time I have wasted over these past 5 or so years. Really is rather extraordinary just how busy one can be doing absolutely nothing.WOW - Read your thread right at the beginning of you posting (lurker) and I'm gobsmacked by how much debt you have managed to pay off. Thank you.
I am pleased with my previous progress which has really gone to the dogs since the start of 2014. However, on the subject of my previous progress if I can do it, anybody can. 2018 totals:

Any news Alex?
Thank you for your consideration. I have no news about my finances, really struggling with motivation to sell things at the moment; that familiar feeling of attachment has come back.heartbreak_star wrote: »Hope your dad recovers soon Alex - poorly parents are an awful thing

Thank you.
I am really enjoying the teaching and my new found enthusiasm for music in general. Seems to be keeping me out of trouble for the moment.Hope the beef was up to the usual standard today?;)

Thank you. The roast was unusually good ... because I made it.
I am busy but am also struggling to post anything as I currently seem to be going backwards.2018 totals:

Monday 24th February, 2014.
Dear Diary,
This evening I am not feeling articulate. Yet have decided to update my diary and would like to share my crudely put thoughts this evening.
Somehow, by the skin of my teeth I am managing to maintain some positivity which is not bad considering I thought myself an eternal pessimist and there is plenty going on in my life at the moment which is not particularly happy. Following advice is seemingly leaving me much happier and whilst not full of limitless energy, I have got more done in the past few weeks than in years. Now, I know you're probably thinking "well done you" accompanied by that snarky little eye roll but if I can do this, anybody can.
There is a part of me who wants to forget and pretend my many mistakes of the past never happened, wouldn't anybody? Especially when the mistakes have likely been larger and more catastrophic than most. Although, I am acknowledging that each and every one of those mistakes put me where I am today. Now, if only I could use some of this new found energy to begin with the debt busting once again and move onto a brighter future.
Summary:
-£100 Petrol.
-£15 Groceries.
Two things to be thankful for:
A generally sunny day.
Having interesting (to me) hobbies (I am always surprised by the amount of people who do "nothing" with their spare time).
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:
