Saturday 1st February, 2014.
Dear Diary,
Half past eight on a Saturday evening and here I am, sat in with a cup of tea with my wife who is currently watching a terrible film. Well, you can see what time it was when I started writing this! To think a decade ago I was the life and soul of the party and yet, here I am now sat at home on a Saturday evening.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.
Its called growing up and settling down Alex. Its a good thing.
Nothing nicer on a crappy winters evening than being home, safe, and cosy with the ones we love. Its just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
Hang on in there Alex, one step forward and two back is a whole lot better than nil steps forward and two back. Take care.:)
Thank you.
Fortunately, I'm in a bright, hardworking mood for the moment. Even managed to get a good amount of interrupted sleep last night. When things are like this, I hope all the bad things that have happened are just some mere nightmare. Its called growing up and settling down Alex. Its a good thing.

At the moment, I'm inclined to agree to it being a good thing too.

Dear Diary,
First of all, I apologise for failing to keep this up to date, yet again and for the lack of an effort made for this forthcoming entry. However, Monday's lack of an entry was not because I was in a dark place and making excuses, for once. Today has been hectic but in a good way. What a difference an uninterrupted night's sleep makes, here's hoping for another this evening.
On the debt busting front, I found some time to list a couple of items on eBay and have a potential customer I wasn't expecting. So, I'm hoping this will all pay off and I shall stay on track to clear some of the money I owe (firstly to myself, then to others) during February.
Summary:
+£90.00 Music Teaching.
-£50.00 LR Diesel.
-£12.40 Groceries.
-£1.70 Bakery.

Hi Alex - hope Drs went off ok on Monday and looks like the music tuition is going well for you.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Hi Roland,
Doctors went as well as could be expected. I'm just hoping that this works now. Music tuition is going much better than I expected and I'm starting to gain some word of mouth referrals. Other business is a little quiet, though in self employment you reap what you sow, towards the back end of January I sowed very little.2018 totals:

Do the tablets have sleeping side effects? Tho think you then end up between rock and hard place, tablets to keep you up needing tablets to knock you out. Physical exertion, excercise, even being battered by a cold wind means a more restful sleep for me, as it means I'm relaxed.
Your assessment of the business was factual, without negativity. Well, hellllooooo Alex.0 -
Debts as of 2nd September 2013: £32,297.54
Debts as of 11th January 2014: £13,204.98
Full and Final Settlements Paid: 2/2
Cards: 2 left.
Wow now look at how much you have cleared - you should be very proud.
A few more good sales on Ebay and you might clear the whole lot!
Probably business will pick up when weather improves an Spring arrives - the start of the year is always a slow time for everything I think.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

Possibly, I am not one to check the possible side affects of medication. I have had problems sleeping for about 6-7 years now and a part of me wonders if I managed to get a good night's sleep each night just how much better I'd be.
Yesterday I'd been stupidly busy and yet I struggled to get to sleep, when I finally did I woke up a number of times.
Thanks, I am trying.

I am and I certainly hope to get myself debt free before Christmas 2014.
I would be inclined to agree with regards to the business picking up around spring time, it usually does. That said, I need to keep putting in the effort as I have been these past few days.2018 totals:

Dear Diary,
Apologies for another substandard entry today, I am currently extremely busy with my work and various other projects I have managed to involve myself in.
On the debt busting front I'm afraid I've done nothing. No items listed on eBay and a meal out at a restaurant this evening. However, Mrs. K. did take lunch to work and even I forwent a cafe lunch in favour of a homemade treat, only succumbing to a cup of tea whilst out.
Going to have an early night, now I think. No, no, not that type of early night before you say it.
Summary:
+£15.00 Music teaching.
-£38.00 Dinner.
-£1.40 Cafe.
-£4.50 Stationery for son ... if crayons and a colouring book can be counted as "stationery".
