My son has plenty of time to enjoy walks and building dens! Funnily enough I was just saying he gets bored of his toys easily, likes "helping" me with work more and picking things up in "our truck" (LR to me an you).

Oh Alex!! Can't you see that simply translates as his favourite thing being spending time with his dad!!:)

Have a happy birthday, whatever you decide to do.

Yes toys have their place but are no substitute for company and companionship.

  • Hello Alex!!

In all honesty, I am not sure what day is today! I have been hibernating at home doing nothing other than being spoiled! Just come here to wish you and everyone happy holidays!
Thought it is your birthday today! So hoping you are having a magnificent time! Sending you lots and lots of virtual hugs! :-)

Not sure anybody understands the situation in all honesty, sometimes I wish I knew no other life and could be content with "my lot". However, I can't and also cannot afford to give my son the same upbringing I had without help from my family, therefore I live by their rules.

Please don't do this is . My arms stitched up and I still want to whack you. This is self fulfilling poison. Forgot all the other self seeking poison...this quote is concentrated enough to kill generations. It insults every reader, condemns your son, and paints you as a victim of the world. Would it help of we all sent £2 yes just £2 a month in an envelope to Alex's "So poor Mama signed the butlers cheque with a brio" appeal! Not sure anybody understands this situation in all honesty but Mama is a terrible way. I tremble lest the Butcher's Pencil appears.

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone. :) It's been a quiet one as Mrs. K. is not feeling very well and to be honest I didn't really want to go anywhere either thanks to a sleepless night.

kissjenn: Please do not get yourself wound up, you've much bigger things to concentrate on than I. Having read that back though, I am somewhat embarrassed; it's a bit "poor little me". Sometimes I do write / speak before I really think. :o

    Are you recovering well?

Aw Jenn - don't be mean to Alex on his Birthday.

Alex - sometimes its nice just to have a quiet 'nothing' sort of day anyway isn't it?

So, any thoughts on the gift money? Two extremes, pay it off your debt or buy a pen etc. Let's assume neither of those are going to happen (especially the latter :naughty:). So, what's on the menu? How about doing something in the house - a new boiler etc? Do you have a wish list?

Hope Mrs K is feeling better and able to spoil the birthday boy :).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
