Thank you but do you all have to remind me I'm ANOTHER year older.
Anyhow, I'm not 33 until 9.36pm tomorrow EVENING, so there. Ha. Hmmm on the other hand, virtual fountain pen you say, Roland? Does your generosity stretch to a Mont Blanc of my choosing?2018 totals:

Thank you, with the help of people on here we started a family tradition of the Elf which I think will hopefully create some fun memories for our son in years to come. Can't say I have many childhood happy memories that didn't involve extortionate amounts of money being spent, so I'll be quite pleased if we achieve this.
I know I used to try and take my boys to places (theme parks etc) - but what I think I, and they, remember most are the simple things that did not cost money - like walks or building dens etc - or just cuddling up on the settee with a book or a video.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

sometimes it is the smaller things, for my 40th, I took DD to Dom Rep, we did all the trips, (small fortune!!), great hotel etc - if you asked her what the highlight of her holiday - no not swimming with dolphins, or swimming in pool that has tigers behind the glass..... no it was mum being chatted up by the security guard.....
Christmas - she has a main present from me (3DSi XL) and from parents - laptop. She had other things and among them was a remote controlled car - that is her fav present, she's sharing the car with her grandad...

I can dream. My son has plenty of time to enjoy walks and building dens! Funnily enough I was just saying he gets bored of his toys easily, likes "helping" me with work more and picking things up in "our truck" (LR to me an you).2018 totals:

Happy Birthday Alex. I'm afraid my virtual present fund is running a bit low so have these instead of a Mont Blanc.
