However, you all will not be pleased that having her back meant I simply forgot all about making any headway on the debt situation.
On the contrary - pleased she's back :T, but just don't go and buy a pen/car/watch/music stand etc to celebrate .

I hope her return has a restraining influence on the elf :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I'd have to wait until Monday to do that! ;)

Are you trying to say I cannot control my Elf? :rotfl:

  • :j Yay! Great news on the return of your beloved! :j

Sounds like her brother has loosened up a little with you too... guess everyone is getting mellower in their "old age" or could it be the good influence of MSEers on your outlook on life that has changed his? :)

    I second Gallygirl - DON'T go buying anything!:naughty:

Imagines scene in a smart shop. Alex is slavering over the pen of his dreams while fumbling for his credit card when a bunch of MSEers spot him & intervene:

"Step away from the pen, sir. Put your credit card on the floor - veeeeeery slowly. Now slide it over here. OK cuff him guys & get him out of the store before he buys more stuff!"

I am alive and well! Just had a horrendously busy couple of days, rather looking forward to the few days I get off around Christmas now. :)

    In response:

mrsscattercushion: Good luck sent your way, hope things are better now. :)

mum2one: Are you my wife in disguise? As I thought she was whom I'm a Celebrity was made for. ;)

Granaries: Thank you, I think brother-in-law is glad to see I am trying so far as their family is concerned. Also, my wife spoke to him about things I would have rather she hadn't but still seemed to have changed his outlook.

:rotfl: at the shop scene and on the subject of pens ... I bought one today. Though sorry to spoil your image, it was a bargain in a second hand shop and is worth 5 or 6 times the amount I paid.

Roland: Funny you should mention being attacked by the Elf, our stunt for tomorrow is for my wife and I to be taken hostage by him. He's even got us Elf costumes.

Maman: I'm OK, thank you, see at the top of my reply. :)

Mum2one: You shall never know what my wife and I have been up to since she returned home. ;)

    Monday 16th December, 2013.
    Day 107.

    Dear Diary,

First of all, I apologise for suddenly going AWOL! The past few days have been hectic, far too hectic but very enjoyable at the same time. Unfortunately, I've nothing to report on the debt busting front though as Christmas has got in the way of my plans.

I hope to be back on form tomorrow and post a better update.

    Summary: (13th Dec. - 16th Dec.)
    +£50.00 Music Teaching.
    -£50.00 Diesel - LR.
    -£70.00 Petrol - BMW.
    -£20.00 Friday night.
    -£52.00 Mrs. K.'s work 'do.
-£40.00 Christmas presents (to be taken out of Christmas budget).
    -£30.00 Groceries.
    -£35.00 Old pen.
    -£8.00 Stationery.

P.S. That's a bit scary writing all that down and I'm not sure I've accounted for everything. :o

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.
