Day 108.
Dear Diary,
Never a truer saying than "time flies when you're having fun" ... and stands still when things are difficult. Tonight I am somewhat reflecting upon the past few days and the fact I don't want things as they are to end, life is rather good for once.
Work is quiet until after Christmas now, which is rather nice and this time next week my wife breaks up for the week, something we are both looking forward to. Better still today has been a NO SPEND DAY despite it being only 8 days to go until the "big day". OK, OK I get it ... I do need to make up for the previous few days.
On the debt busting front, I have yet again done nothing but there should be a few items on eBay tomorrow and I will try to get back into writing a decent diary entry on here, too.
Summary:
+£50.00 Music Teaching.
-£0.00 NSD.

Wednesday 18th December, 2013.
Day 109.
Dear Diary,
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, most certainly so in my household. Today has been quiet and thankfully so with only a week to go before Santa arrives.
Surprisingly today has also been another no spend day, with Mrs. K. taking lunch to work and I leaving my wallet at home. Yet, despite no money being spent we've both had a great day.
On the debt busting front, today has looked much brighter: some items are on eBay including the pen bought for profit, my wife and I have worked out a realistic food spending budget and last but not least I am setting a definite target to be debt free by Christmas 2014.
Summary,
+£25.00 Music Teaching.
-£0.00 Another NSD!
Yours Faithfully,

That sounds a brilliant day, if I knew you weren't busy you could have come and help me wrap the families Christmas presents - 8hrs!!! - gave up with tags so we all have our own sets of Christmas paper...
Thats good news about ebay items, and budget busting, sounds more realistic the Dec 2014 debt free date, give you chance to breath and take some pressure off xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Very glad I don't have a big family and no desire to have one.2018 totals:

That was just my parents, mine, daughters and the dog....
Parents - presents to each other, off me, off DD, off the dog - same pratice for mine and DD's presents.
Trying to be posh with keeping wrapping to one set of paper from each person, sounds more time consuming as it was done in one session.
Ours dog very clever, buys us all a present, he was so funny, - hes a Springer, and I had his bag of presents, (new bowl, blanket, chews, biscuits) - he kept coming up and sniffing the bags till he found his then would sit by it expecting a treat..... xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Eight hours wrapping presents for five people?!
Fancy making that username "mum2two"?
We're not very "posh" in this household; gift wrap consists of whatever is left over from last year or someone's birthday or perhaps brown paper for the Aunt you only buy something for to keep your mother happy.2018 totals:

Our gift wrap is always sale stuff, and cards we hoard them, sorted out the loft over the summer and put all xmas stuff together, - when writing cards opened a pack and there was a leaflet advertising hampers for 1998!
The trouble is with our house, everything has to be wrapped as single items, - one of dads presents 12 bottles real Ale - there got put into the cardboard wine racks yet each bottle has to be wrapped, - so glad it is once a year.
Hence I deserved a glass of wine.... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Poundland wrapping paper here though OH seems to go a bit crazy for that foil stuff. I always manage to crinkle it!
Glad to say I finished up my wrapping last night with a lovely glass of raspberry vodka and lemonade. Mmm!

You sound far too organised for my liking.
Sorry, can't say I see the point of wrapping 12 bottles of Ale individually? Get a wooden wine rack, put them in there - job done, he knows what they are anyway.Mind, I've never found upwrapping things that exciting.

Saino's here, even for the parents. :rotfl: No, they don't know about it either.
Not started wrapping, we'll do it on the 23rd / 24th. Not that much to do anyway, most of it goes into bags. Yep, I make a real effort with this stuff...2018 totals:

Ohhh I used to go nuts on creative wrapping - DVDs became dominoes, bottle into pencils, toiletry sets into books...etc etc.
Then I realised how expensive it was and discovered people were reluctant to just rip the paper off!
Now it's all just very neat and tidy and the only thing that goes into a bag without wrapping is a bottle.
