I have not done too badly in the last three days if I may say so myself.
Currently have a very excited boy waiting to see his Mummy and probably to tell her what the Elf has been up to. Though I've got to out do my parents' efforts of having Elf "drive" a toy car through "mud" A.K.A. chocolate and then leave muddy tyre tracks all over their kitchen.
I LOVE this! Glad K Seniors are getting into the spirit of this too haha.
What about...Elf on the sofa in the morning with some food wrappers, an empty juice glass and a selections of DVDs? Or, if you have a shredder, standing next to it with some paper and "confetti"?
I tried some very odd French cheeses today - it was the only dessert on the menu with no nuts! (I'm allergic)

Oh boy, Alex & HBS, you made me grin with those name stories! :rotfl:
I was once getting the runaround from a utility company & finally managed to speak to someone senior. When asked to spell my (rather difficult) name, I had thought ahead & found some useful words to help them spell it right... my alphabet went something like this:
"A for asinine, B for bad, C for clumsy, D for dire, E for expensive, F for f e c k less, G for gormless, H for hopeless, I for incompetent... "
Strangely enough the person got the message I was rather unhappy & my problem was resolved without further ado!
Alex - it looks like your parents are lightening up a bit & having a laugh now, could be ever so good for them & (by association) you! Totally admire the chocolate stunt as I'd be FAR too much of a tightass to let that kind of thing go on in my kitchen (not that you could swing a cat in it)!:T
And when can we expect to see "your" meerkat pic as your avatar? It would be PERFECT!
Have a great evening everyone.0 -

Day 102.
Dear Diary,
Sorry this is going to be a dreadfully short one tonight, I've a lot to be getting on with and no real time as tomorrow is proving to be another busy day before we even get there. No silly meerkat stories to report this evening, though had a great music lesson.
However, I really am getting ready for a break, I think.
Summary:
+£25.00 Music Teaching.
-£10.49 Groceries.

Maddiemay / gallygirl: They did indeed do a fantastic job!
HBS: Thank you for the ideas. What were the French cheeses?
Roland: "Granny" is somewhat of a creative, I must have got it from somewhere, eh?
Granaries: :rotfl: I can quite imagine you doing that.
My parents are not always serious and are (generally) brilliant with son.
LOL, re the meerkat photo, perhaps I'll have to cave due to popular demand at some point?2018 totals:

I actually have no idea - they were from a village local to Pouilly-en-Auxois, which is where I am.
One was in a wax and became very soft at room temperature (soft enough to spread), one was cream cheese and herbs, and one was crumbly and sweet - I didn't like that one so much.
We were dining in a Chateau...good job I wasn't paying

Thursday 12th December, 2013.
Day 103.
Dear Diary,
How does time fly so quickly? Today I have hardly sat down at all and enjoyed every minute of it, energy levels up to where they were many years ago. I sincerely wish everyday was like today, especially as some days when I am feeling particularly low, I struggle to even get out of bed.
Onto the greatest news of the day; Mrs. K. is back, it appears she found me too irresistible to last out the whole week without me. Much to my wife's embarrassment her brother described her as a "love sick teenager" over an impromptu get together at my house :rotfl:. However, you all will not be pleased that having her back meant I simply forgot all about making any headway on the debt situation.
Summary:
-£40.00 Groceries / things to make Christmas hampers.
