Ah the cute meercats!! And your name is SO difficult to spell isn't it!!

In a shop once and wanted half a dozen stamps - girl has no idea what I meant - what do they get taught these days - even young son with me was about to say something!

    Hi Alex

I think a no spend day two weeks before Christmas is quite an achievement. Every NSD counts and is something to be proud of, especially at this time of year :)

Bet (who hasn't had many NSD's lately)

Thank you Bet. Today won't be a NSD - we need to eat! :rotfl: Talking of which, used the slow cooker the past few days and found it really does work when busy.

Thanks for the Meerkat, you have turned into him in my mind ... You do suit that velvet smoking jacket tho ... Now be kinder to Sergei !

    :)

:rotfl: We've got five of the damn things floating around the house, our son loves them!

Mrs. K. put the teacher one (Myra?) on my piano a few weeks ago to "encourage the pupils to behave".
Happy to hear about all these NSDs - doesn't matter what the reason for them is, it still counts ;)

I'm wondering if I'm going to clock up 5 NSDs in a row simply because I am away on a works trip and am therefore spending company money on meals and not mine? And also I can't go shopping haha.

It also says a lot that Mrs K. is missing you. Could you cook her something nice for when she comes home, or bake Christmas biscuits with Little K and let him decorate them? Messy, but fun :)

You've also made me crack up with the meerkat line. Reminds me of a dizzy lass a few years ago - I was trying to order something from a catalogue and getting a bit irritated as she was being a bit useless. When she asked my name I said "Kimberley, with an E" and my parcel came to the correct place but addressed to "Kimberley Withanee", and my surname was nowhere to be seen...

HBS: Five NSDs in a row would likely be absolutely impossible for us but got to say I'm rather impressed.

We'll think of something. Anyhow, I'm seeing her today as teaching niece.

:rotfl: That has to be the best one yet! I'll refer to you as Miss Withanee from now on. ;)

It is in that russian(?) form, I had to check it twice. ;):o There's someone I've known for years who actually does have a hard to spell name and to be honest from the stories he's told me, I've actually been quite glad of my common name.

:rotfl: on the half a dozen stamps, some people are simply unbelievable!

:rotfl: Digital watches should be left back in the '80's, must admit my opinion of a man / woman quickly deteriorates upon seeing a digital watch. ;)

Well, you've cheered me up, Roland! I don't watch I'm a Celebrity but Mrs. K. loves it, have to be out of the room in all honesty when that comes on the TV. :o

I have not done too badly in the last three days if I may say so myself. :o Currently have a very excited boy waiting to see his Mummy and probably to tell her what the Elf has been up to. Though I've got to out do my parents' efforts of having Elf "drive" a toy car through "mud" A.K.A. chocolate and then leave muddy tyre tracks all over their kitchen.

That's not cheating at all, just one of the perks of being employed. :)
