FC, I am being on ( trying to be on) especially good behaviour in here, a board I don't normally frequent, but while I don't often pull punches, I think it would be unfair to say I am unnecessarily harsh, smug or rude. Unempathetic, perhaps, I admit I have to work hard and draw on personal experience but I always try to work on that.:) and I try to be balanced.

I would say Alex's other thread is not particular harsh for the nature of the 'wider board' certainly not for the Internet!

In any case Alex, IMO if the other is causing you mental disquiet I would simply walk away from it and cease responding. It will drop down the board and be forgotten.

I'm not sure FC was relating to your posts? However, it seems you two know one and other.

Not particularly harsh  ... have you read some of the comments? :rotfl: ;)

Thank you for the advice, to be honest I think any sensible responses I was going to get have now been and gone.
You are welcome to criticise mine. Go on. :).

Either you think I can write fairly coherently, or you think me an idiot; thus setting me up to criticise your good self in order for you to shoot me down in flames. :rotfl: ;) Therefore, I shall behave myself and politely decline to comment.

To be honest, we have been for so long with British gas that I have never bothered to change suppliers until I saw the news that they are going to raise their prices up. So, just like your Mum I thought the time has come but I wanted my husband to do it! I do recognize that sometimes I am not bothered or I cannot be bothered... my husband said he used the comparison site but he did so because I pointed it out to him because I have learned about it in this forum! I just need to know now how all this 'cash back' works ha ha ha...
Hmm Overwhelmed? I am the one overwhelmed reading your posts :-)

Well I've no idea how it works either, so please feel free to ask somebody else.

Overwhelmed reading my posts? And there was I thinking I made myself quite clear. Sorry if this is not the case. :(
Why thankyou  I wouldn't be a good coach if I wasn't a perpetual pain in the backside :D

Well perhaps I like that about you. ;)

Yes, I have read most of them, not all, and most of yours, and in truth, I think you have got away lightly at times!

I don't know about sensible responses, i think you have had several sensible responses among the heated ones, I am certain though you are unlikely to hear what you want to hear.
Yes, I know FC123 ...through MSE and now in RL. :)

As for the writing, neither,.....you sounded like you could do with lashing out at some one, and my brain condition impacts on my writing producing what some of my Mse chums know as 'lirisms' so they are easy to lash out at. Doesn't bother me. Newbies have done it often, and they are absolutely correct, Sometimes what I type is illegible even to me. :rotfl:
  • Ha ha ha Alex!
English is my FOURTH language and I wound't mind for you to be pompous :-) you can always correct my grammar! I love the way some people use the English language, all this colloquialisms/slang words I read sometimes it makes me giggled :-)

Seriously? Well, I'm not sure what to say to that one!

I've come to that conclusion too. Not another Londoner? ;) You all seem to be from London or Scotland. :rotfl: Anyway, FC and I seem to understand one and other, I reckon we probably have similar backgrounds which helps somewhat.

I've never heard of "lirisms" before and thought I have a fairly broad vocabulary. Anyhow, I don't feel like criticising anybody today, perhaps call back another time and I might. :rotfl: ;)

I cannot speak more than one language. Though I did study a couple at school I do not remember hardly any words even. :o As above, catch me on another day and I may be liberal with the red "ink".

  • Alex, for some reason I cannot quote your replies, but there is not need to apologize. The reason for stating I was overwhelmed, it is because as I read your previous posts I felt overwhelmed...I was experiencing mixed emotions about all what was going on in your life... examples are many, and I think some of the forumates have already pointed them out. Just like the latter, I sometimes wanted to hug you or slap you :-). After reading, I felt your life as a line chart, a fluctuating chart and I guess that encapsulates our ups and downs of which none of us are exempt in our lives. On the whole, you are doing great! You've come very, very far and please take it, acknowledge when we all tell you take pride of your achievement! You 'like' the people on the DFW because they have enveloped you with understanding and care about you!! ehem, ehem...i think I wrote a lot ...

I speak a fair bit of French - but only to do with my job really, I am terrible at general conversational French haha!

It'll be better than mine. "Bonjour, comment ca va?" Is about my limit and I'm informed "real" French people say nothing of the sort to one and other. :rotfl:

  • For example, I loved this expression : ' I may be liberal with the red "ink"'. It can only be good for me! ha ha ha ..
Well, we are approaching midnight, is time to go to bed for me and dream with little angels...night night

    See you all...
