Well thats a nice surprise!
I sold a purse for £10 - not quite the same league!!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Roland: Indeed, though this one I am rather sad to see go.
On another note my health seems to be getting worse again; not got the energy for going "exploring" with son today but as the weather is nice looks like I'll have to make the effort before nursery time.2018 totals:

She had the first meeting with this contractor about a week ago; they were being awkward with their requirements and disagreed with wife's solution to the problem which she (well within her rights) contested (more than one way to do the job). This week she's been working on this particular job and today it just all got a bit much and she "walked out" on doing that particular job when her superiors told her she'd been assigned the work. It is rather bad, she rang me this afternoon to tell me which she never usually does.
Poor Mrs K - I do sympathise: sometimes it's either walk out or smack someone in the face though, isn't it!
Thoughts on the contractor: I wonder if they'd have been that awkward & refused her solution had she been a man...? Any chance of her using that as a last line of defence if it gets really nasty with employer?
And would the employer be getting extra chippy with her because of her wanting a pay rise, by any chance? Hmmmm...Anyway, you're doing fine - keep up the good work & it'll all come out OK!

:rotfl: ... have you been dealing with some of my customers?
As for my wife: no, I doubt it regarding the contractor. In her line of work there is somewhat of a constant balancing act between safe, cheap and quick. She wants safe and quick which isn't often cheap and the contractors want cheap and quick which isn't always safe. Of course, if something ever happened she would have to justify her actions.
In regard to the employer, absolutely. It was only five minutes ago she agreed a pay rise and now she's causing trouble with one of the contractors.
So long as she doesn't get herself dismissed for insubordination, we're doing good .... :rotfl:2018 totals:

Well, it looks as if I'll be going to the doctors on Monday. Took son to nursery this afternoon after being dragged out over to the woods after lunch, I just ended up coming home and going to bed. Nothing productive done whatsoever.
On the good side, tomorrow Mrs. K. and I are going to the organ recital; she wants to come and gave me the money for tickets and petrol out of the change she had from when she went out last week.2018 totals:

Hope you feel better soon and enjoy the organ recital tomorrow. My Grandad used to play the organ and according to my parents the reason I learnt the piano was so I could play just like him
a truly lovely instrument.
Subscribing too, but I don't think I'll have time to catch up so I'll hop on in from here if that's ok xDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Fellow pianist here.
I went to school with the organist and I too hope I'm feeling better soon also, though it just seems to be getting worse at the moment.
