Fantastic lesson on handsome baby. He is learning some lateral work and also how to halt properly. Both clearly very confusing for the little chap :) The idea is to help me control the spooks with the lateral work and the square halt to help us with the next dressage competition. There will be more competitions - just need to sort the diary :)

Most handsome returns the kiss. Watch the zip on the fleece though. He has learnt to remove watches and undo zips. Also need Mr Watty to move another light switch as Most Handsome Gelding has been playing with the switch near where I tie him up. Switch cover now broken off and he is happily switching light on and off with tongue. Bless him :)

:rotfl: yes but never whilst being watched.

Until we moved the light outside his stable, Mr Watty was convinced I was leaving the light on for him :)

Nearly midnight and plans for early night didn't amount to much. Was catching up on work till 10.30. Things not quite going to plan but do have a tidy house, a lot of clean clothing dried on line (not ironed but hey ho at least its clean) and lots of strawberry puree made for freezer and lots of strawberries frozen. Strawberry patch most prolific this year. Sweet peas have been tied up, weeded and politely asked to get a shift on with flowering. Plans for cut flowers not going to plan. Sunflowers have clearly all been eaten! Leaves a space that was meant for cut flowers. Not sure what to do with that now? Is it too late for broad beans I wonder? Can't think of anything that will flower now for house if sown now ??

Two good ideas - but - have been given some tomato plants so that solved that one :) Following some posts by Tilly I am also going to buy some lettuce seeds as that should save about £1 a week on the shopping.

Been given 6 eggs that were laid yesterday by a pal who is looking after someone's chickens whilst they are on holiday. Delicious. What an advert for keeping chickens.

Checked mortgage account on line and see that the bank have not actually applied last overpayment despite it showing as a deposit. Hmmm... So they have the money, show it, but do not actually take it off the total amount outstanding nor reduce interest or monthly payments. Called bank and they were unable to 'explain' this but promise me I will be called on Monday. I look forward to that :)

Am amazed, he's clearly clever as well as gorgeous!

Local plant shop near us is still selling broad bean plants pretty cheaply now but still have time to do their stuff if you get them in soon (weather permitting, of course)!

I know what you mean about the OP diary becoming something else too, I think it's because you can't look at the money bit in isolation to,everything else going on in life, the diary becomes a holistic focus for all the important bits!

Glad you had a lovely break and hope you're fully recovered from your rear-ender! x
