Thanks Alchemilla, Floppy and Greent. Am back
Have been away in Portugal on a lovely break. Fabulous time. Lovely city enter hotel in Lisbon and great flights - returned business class as was cheaper than economy and wow! Service and food the other side of the curtain very posh
Weather wasn't great but lovely four day break.
Had got so tired with work and so prior to going that I wasn't really looking forward to it - but - been and come back and it was just great. Spent a day on the Estorial coast doing nothing but people watching and sipping tea. Wonderful
Back now and will start to catch up.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Hi Watty, just catching up with your diary, been a good read. Sorry to hear about your accident and I was surprised anyone goes fast enough to have an accident on the London orbital car park..... ;-)0

A good point there Southerndave. Luckily car sustained no damage.
Just checked credit card from Portugal short break and definitely a bargin. Out economy back business class for £220. Business class was cheaper than economy (odd but true and loved loved loved the fuss they make in business class! Fab food too.) Lovely hotel bed bed and breakfast for £30 a night each. Friend and I split the costs of all meals and I have come home with a fair amount of euros. I was very conscious of enjoying myself but not buying anything to add to the clutter. Was a close run thing with some beads and earrings, but, I kept firm.
I did buy a pair of sunglasses at the airport, yes, they were expensive but looking through my pictures I see they hide the bags under the eyes and so take about 15 years of my age :rotfl:
Was very close to declining the idea of a weekend away to save cash but am glad I went.
Am resolved to try and get more sleep.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
