This Time I'm Really Going To Do It

so on checking the cat would be £222 a year. Which seems fair enough and I will have to talk to the ex at some point and take over the dog's insurance policy.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Now cheerleaders, I am in a bit of a muddle. I've cleared out some clothes that are very nice and i believe would sell on vinted and/or Bay of E. But I could just donate them the guilt and the stuff would be gone. I'm a bit unsure what to do. I think if I had more energy it would be fine. I can't decide so they hang about making me feel guilty.

Is this the pomodoro method? Start doing something setting a 15-min limit and see if you can carry on once the time is up? I'd try taking a few pics of the most expensive/saleable stuff, upload and see how you feel at that point. It could be less time...but it's up to you. Would the money be handy towards insurance for fluffsters? Or would you rather have done? Love Humdinger xx2

I have some things though that have been rolling over and over on ebay so I may just donate...
I have heard vinted is now better for clothes but not tried it
For high end stuff Vestiare and Cudoni are good - I have bought (not sold) from them both
On your fuel gauge yes you need to replenish everything, emotionally you have been in either freeze , shock or worry for months/years - I have been eating more green veg (kale, spinach, broccoli etc) every day than ever before - as in a HUGE plateful each day with the main dish and a week in I actually am feeling full of life and happy - maybe try maxing the natural vits - apparently greens (especially raw) really help the liverDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

OK, so I just looked at Vestiare. One of the dresses would maybe sell on there and I need to just focus. I will try and list one item a day. I've been popping the odd item on Marketplace on Facebook because it is just so easy and that money has been paying for me to go out. So focus. I would rather have done but really the money would be helpful and if I continue to use it for nights out with the friends then there is a benefit.
I think I just got overwhelmed with both stuff, clutter and the need to sort everything out but if I stick with sorting it out gradually one little bit at a time I will get there.

little by little does get things done. Maybe set a limit and if stuff hasn't sold donate it. A week, one round, till you have ten things listed etc.

Lovely morning. I worked out a fitness plan for the Charming Cob and set off today on our first 30 - 40 min ride in walk only. We managed the walk although only just, he was so enthusiastic to be out, thank goodness we were on the roads as I couldn't have held him in walk on an open field or a bridleway. And the 35 min round trip was completed in 20 mins he was so fast. I will go further next time
In other news the transfer forms have arrived on my email overnight to sign, witness and return so seems like the transfer of the properties is really underway now.

Lovely evening at a local village film club. Saw a great film £5 entrance and £3 for a class of wine. Yes, I could have streamed the film for free via Prime but i went with two friends and it was a real sense of a "night out" which seemed cheap.
I've been looking around at the work that needs doing and trying not to get overwhelmed. I wont start until the sale goes through but I've started getting quotes to replace the 3 windows that need replacing. They are roof windows and I would like to enlarge the opening at the same time. And the stable roof needs replacing so that needs quotes too.
This will probably use up any money left over from the purchase of house from ex so have been thinking about the garden. Last year neither of us did anything with the garden, the ex because he was busy with his own house and me because I had given up hope that the house would be mine. During that long hot summer the grass died and a weed has taken over. After researching on the net it seems the weed is self heal and that it can actually make a flowering lawn (although most sites advise getting rid of it) so, if it is fine this weekend I am planning on weeding the area of the taller weeds that have taken over and seeing if I can make a lawn of it instead of grass. On the basis it is free and wildlife will like it and it will not need much looking after. if I have time I will weed one of the beds and put any of it I pull up in the "lawn area". It is an experiment. if it doesn't work I have lost nothing but a few hours and a few hours in the outside will be good for my mental health anyway.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Listed a couple of items and glad I listened here about it as one is already at £14 on the bidding. Now, that easily covers a night out. I'm going to slowly list everything once and then donate if it does not go.
Had a mental health assessment via a counselling service arranged by GP and I scored high on depression and anxiety. No surprise there. i have however declined counselling as I feel that if I am going to do that I would like to select my own therapist rather than have the next on the list. It might be that counselling would be very helpful but I feel a sinking feeling when I think about it.
We did talk about CBT and that sounded helpful so I agreed that would be great but then declined group CBT because I feel that being part of a group runs, for me, the risk of being with people who have a lot of trauma and want to express that and that plays into my anxiety and also makes me question if I should be there. I felt like that on the Womens Aid Freedom Programme.
Finally we got to individual CBT and I agreed to do that although there is a long wait list I think it might be helpful.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Watty, it sounds like you're doing really well now, starting to come out of the depression and anxiety if anything. I can understand individual CBT might still feel helpful, and it does no harm at all to put yourself on the waiting list - judging on your progress in the last couple of months, the decision on whether or not to take the offered sessions when you get to the top of the list is pretty open.
Enjoy the long weekend2023: the year I get to buy a car2
