No finanacial news ... osteopath and counselling session. Have stopped counselling for the summer. The woman is very pro relationships which makes her ideal for relationship counselling less so when one has woken up!
Not sure if I will go back but did agree that if I want to call it a day I will go back for one 'final' session to wrap up and consolidate.
Osteopath ouch ouch ouch. No running or riding for a couple of days and loads of exercises to do :( But true to his word of 3 sessions and then off you go osteopath did not want me to book any more but said to see how I got on over the next 3 weeks doing the exercises and foam rolling (watch his video to do it properly) and if I'm not sure about exercises to send him a video or he will video himself doing them and send them over to me. Thought that was lovely service :)

The osteo I saw was like that - doesn't want/expect you to keep going back, but gives you the tools to look after yourself. It's a much better way of doing business I'm sure as I bet you'd recommend him rather begrudging payment week after week. Hope you can get back on MH soon!

I absolutely would recommend him and if I do I get £5 off my next session. I'm so worn out right now I'd rather have someone fix me!

However I have been thinking that better self care is needed now so the exercises fit with that and I'm typing sitting on a gym ball to keep my hips level as I slouch badly on office chair.

Hmmm wonder if while my back is sore I would be better sitting on my gym ball to watch tv...

As part of the self care I've had a go at decluttering the bathroom (again). I did a massive declutter during my KM phase but just recently was overwhelmed at the amount of plastic bottles in there.
So I sorted out the stuff I actually use from that I do not. Anything unused has gone off to the hygeine bank along with stuff I had an unnessarily large stockpile of. I'm going to do a quick plug for this fantastic charity in case anyone hasn't heard of it - https://www.thehygienebank.com It gives personal care items to the homeless and those in need). That still leaves me with enough toothpaste to the next century, 3 opened bottles of mouthwash, 3 partly used bottles of hair conditioner .... and so the list goes on. I'm on a use up mission and find non plastic alternatives when I finally run out of something.

I have been through this cycle. I still have two part-filled collapsible crates of stuff (down from 6 and about 50 toilet rolls to less than a pack). It pains me to throw things away but sometimes I have to.

I feel much better about our single use plastic now as our part of our County (Suffolk) incinerates the landfill for energy - so just the dustcart and chimney steam emissions then :(. They are looking to increase this as the volume of landfill has reduced dramatically since Blue Planet. There is a link here.

Our Foodbank takes regular toiletries and on their shortage list there is always deodorant, shower gel, tooth brushes and paste, and shampoo.

I was in danger of becoming a bit obsessive but I am more relaxed now about the incinerator and I am due to visit it soon

Interested to hear about the incinerator visit. This area burns too, so I think my concern came partly from the environmental impact of single use plastic but also from the sense of overwhelm about how much stuff i had. After leaving university my entire beauty and hygine overhaul fitted on a tiny shelf now if fills cupboards. I really began to think not just about the plastics but about how much I spend that is unnecessary. I don't need showergel when a bar of soap will do at so much less cost and if I never use a face mask why do I have tubs of the stuff (admittedly these were part of an article I wrote and was sent them as freebies to review but still why did i keep them thinking I would). What I am learning time and time again is I feel so much better with less stuff.

Me too, on hearing about the incinerator visit - anything to do with environmentalism/re-use is interesting to me.
