This Time I'm Really Going To Do It

Today was harder. Most Handsome quite lame so cut hack short and just came home. Watched some TV and began a declutter of one room. Interestingly I have decluttered this area before but I am now adopting the "if I moved out would I take it with me". I am not planning to move out but I have no idea what will happen and I think, in addition to the spotted hanky fund, this will help me be ready in the event that I need to use that fund. Some of the clothing I've come across I would not take with me, but, I could wear and then throw rather than just add to the washing pile so that is in a heap, a bag for donations is started, a recycle pile started and a space for "sell" also cleared.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Ponies mucked out and in the field. One load of washing done and kitchen clean and tidy. Just about to make a cup of tea and go to work. Have decided to work between Christmas and New Year to keep on top of stuff and keep stress levels workwise down. Work will be aided by box of chocs hidden in filing drawer
Once they are gone I will go back to my usual sugar and alcohol free ways.

Sounds good to me
my niece, who I spent Christmas with, is back at work today too, though she takes a commuter train in Croydon. Blissful, not! But keeping on top of stuff, yes.

Glad you had a good Christmas, Watty, considering the circumstances. Sorry to hear that MH is not doing so well though.
Enjoy decluttering - I am about to do some myself - I find it irresistable at this time of year.
Take care xMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Me too. It feels like nearly-spring when the Christmas clutter is gone.0

When I was working I used to make sure I was in the office at least once between Christmas and New Year, otherwise my brain would shut down completely. If I did have the whole week off, it used to take me until the end of January to get going again!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Mr Spain says he has to be worked ... I have declined to hack him in the wind rain and biting cold of today. One of them yes I would but not all threeAnyway Vet Mr Spain says that there is nothing very wrong and it is just a sprain and to work him and keep him moving.
I have a physio coming on the 4th Jan. I watched him carefully and part of the problem is he is not stepping under equally on his hind legs. That might be related to the arthritis but it might be something else. He is still very full of himself though. I admit I had a bit of a cry yesterday. Today I am back to myself. The physio is excellent and I fully trust that she might help him. I think this is just going to take time.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Sorry you felt down, Watty. You have a lot going on, on nearly every front, it's bound to pile up sometimes
just carry on with your self care plans. And your plans in general, actually.

Would walking Most Handsome in hand be helpful? Might be an option if he's too full of himself to be ridden sensibly, or if you want a quick outing in horrid weather.0
