Maybe you can pay for MH's treatment in rioja...?

Discovered at the local yard dinner last night he is vet to some very famous people and only saw me as a favour to a friend ..and ..because he was in the area and I am apparently good for the cash!! Friend does not know dire state of things around here :rotfl:FloppyDisk wrote: »Can you run away with Spanish chap? He sounds useful and profitable!
Now there sounds a plan!!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Humdinger Great Post! You write so well.
Watty HUGS. I have so many questions.
Is Most Handsome lame for the same reason in each leg or different reasons?
I read that you were clearing the office so you could enjoy the vet next week (ahem!).

No. Most likely scenario - he twisted fetlock joint (like ankle for non horsey readers) in field and that made left front lame, trying not to walk on it made right front lame and accounts for swellings in right front and then right hind lame because he has low grade arthritic changes in hock and the box rest for the front lameness made that worse......smallholdingsister wrote: »

You are handling this so very well and I think it is time for you now to think of your needs. Xxx

Rang the building society and fixed the mortgage til 31/3/20. I could have shopped around and maybe found 'a deal' but I'm pleased with what I found, and, hurrah, they changed it over on the basis of the phone call so job completed this morning. Apparently a letter needs to be signed but minimum fuss. Very happy. The new rate is £39.80 cheaper per month and if I really wanted to repay the repayment charge would be £267 so that all seems a good deal as this will be cheaper in the long run. I'm not sure things will be solved in 6 months and if they are solved after that it will still have been cheaper to fix and pay off the repayment charge.
Job one on the sort the finances can now be ticked off and the saving can go in the spotted hanky fund as it trickles in.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Oh Watty ... a lovely post from Humdinger, yes ... and I'm glad to read you're establishing a knotted hanky fund. Very sorry to read that apparently Mr Watty hasn't even said to you about the mid January trip, even if he *has* put it on the calendar.
And as for the Spanish chap. Wow! I get the feeling that there's a huge sub-culture in Spain that's incredibly knowledgeable about horses. That's really lucky he's in your area.
Oh, and sorting the finances. That's good toowe are *supposed* to be here for that :rotfl:
Health, wealth and happiness, Watty :xmassmile2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Olympia sounds like it was just what was needed. It is something that has been on my bucket list for years and watching it always makes me feel festive.
Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for MH.0
